Monthly Shows:: The Sin Bin presents 'Crash and Burn Comedy.'
So, lets see. Saturday night is upon you, and you're looking for something to do. Dinner and entertainment seems to be in the plan. Well, you could always go look for a place for drinks and dinner. After that, you could make your way out to a theatre or a comedy club. Or...or...hang in there....or, you can go to a place that has the night set up all for you to enjoy your Saturday night. The Sin Bin Grill is located at the Olympic Village area on 2nd Ave. As one of the prime sports bars of the areas, it is known for hosting sporting events from the Canucks to U.F.C. pay per view events.
[During Crash and Burn Comedy, the Sin Bin can hold like....a million people!] However, the owner, Chris Hall, is also the founder of the website MyComedybook (http://www.mycomedybook.com). Having said that, the Sin Bin is now host to regular nights of live entertainment, especially comedy on a weekly basis. On Thursday, you will find Patrick Maliha hosting the Winner Take All Variety Show in their VIP room. On Fridays, Brendan Bourque brings a pro headliner and up and coming comics to a night of hilarity called 'Vainglorious,' and Sunday where Bourque brings a room for comics to try new material (also in the VIP lounge) at an open mic session. In the summer of 2012, the Sin Bin will be hosting a leg of the 'People's Champ Comedy' competition which will be Vancouver's main event in comedy.
[Host Dino Archie, kept on coming up to me time and time again just to check out this picture I took of him that night.]
However, once a month, Chris Hall brings a mixture of it all. In the main restaurant and stage area, Crash and Burn Comedy brings to you a night of amateur comics, hosted and headlined by professional comics. With food and drink specials going on all night, the Sin Bin is a one stop solution for a Saturday night. Live tweet hashtag: #crashnburncomedy Who to follow: @Sinbin_grill
