I know but I'm pretty sure they're fine since they did live interviews last week. But the Oscars... it's unlikely, but I still have hope.

Ugh It sucks that it's Ciarán's first nomination and that Ken will almost certainly win best original screenplay and that they can't attend 😔💔

“Ben and Ken”, yes, that’s exactly who they are to me and it’s how I think of them in my head. :D 2021 has been a great year for both Kenneth and Benedict. Whenever they promote their films at the same time, it’s almost too much of the good stuff because we get all this new gif-worthy content via clips and photos (often on the same day), and I get to gif not in one but TWO fandoms! :D It’s happened before three of my fandoms got new content to gif on the same day, and that was crazy but also awesome.

I’m happy their new films - Belfast and The Power of the Dog - are both Oscar contenders, and winners of several awards at film festivals around the world. Ken even received two life achievement awards recently, and won TIFF's People's Choice Award for Belfast, while Ben got the TIFF Tribute Actor Award. Ken is the most tireless actor I know, and after countless film festivals he’s been attending for promo, my hope is he’ll bump into Ben and strike up a chat, and we’ll be blessed with a photo or even footage of them together! Please, I NEED IT. <3 Maybe at the Oscars, if everything works out well?

If they get to work on the same project one day, even better! I was just saying to a friend earlier that I’d like Benedict to invite Ken to read at Letters Live. Ken’s done loads of audio books and radio plays, and he’s great at speeches. I love the new video clip of him recounting the chaotic rehearsals for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, how he saw Rowan Atkinson, Paul McCartney, etc, doing their bits as he went through his own lines. As always, he tells the story with so much charm and relish and excitement. He’d be the perfect Letters Live guest. :) *keeping fingers crossed*

Hello!! May I ask — how did you get into Phil?

Of course!! A few months ago I watched Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 for the first time and that’s when I first noticed him. (I’d watched Scent of a Woman for a class in high school but didn’t really remember it, I wasn’t much of a movie person until recently).

I liked Plutarch so much I started reading more about the movies and his character, then Phil! I’d heard of Philip Seymour Hoffman and I had vague memories of when he died, but didn’t know much about him beyond that. Reading/watching his interviews and Capote and Doubt and just getting to know the person he was, I fell for him pretty fast. Then I saw Synecdoche, which made me feel more than I knew a film could make you feel and there was no turning back lmao!

I found him and his work at a pretty transitory point in my life and there’s just something special about him that I really connected with. And I’m so glad I did! 🥰

Oh my god YESS! He's just so shamelessly hot it's unbelievable! His reddish hair and beard are absolutely stunning, my favourite look of him definitely. Also his character is so soft and sweet!

Not to mention he gets to ride a horse at one point making everything hotter *ahskdhdksshsjd*
