Explore the daily life and undertakings of the Cycladic islanders 5,000 ago. Since no written documents of the Early Cycladic period survive, this exhibition attempts to “read” in a simple and straightforward manner the social structure, activities, living environment and, where possible, convictions and beliefs of the Cycladic islanders in the Early Bronze Age (3,200-2,000 BC) through their creations. 191 ancient artifacts: from its own collections, from the Museums of Naxos, Apeiranthos, Syros and Paros as well as the National Archaeological Museum. ΚΥΚΛΟΣ ΔΙΑΛΕΞΕΩΝ 2019-2020 | CIRCLE OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL LECTURES _____ Σημαντικές επιστημονικές ανακοινώσεις για ανασκαφικά ευρήματα και ερευνητικά προγράμματα στην Κρήτη παρουσιάζει ο νέος Κύκλος Αρχαιολογικών Διαλέξεων που διοργανώνει το Μουσείο από τον Δεκέμβριο του 2019 έως και τον Δεκέμβριο του 2020.

Με αφορμή την επιτυχημένη αρχαιολογική έκθεση «Κρήτη. Αναδυόμενες πόλεις: Άπτερα –Ελεύθερνα–Κνωσός», που διοργανώθηκε στο Μουσείο το 2018, ο νέος κύκλος διαλέξεων αφορά στις ανασκαφικές και ερευνητικές δραστηριότητες των Εφορειών Αρχαιοτήτων του ΥΠΠΟΑ, καθώς και των Ξένων Αρχαιολογικών Σχολών και του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης που δραστηριοποιούνται στη μεγαλόνησο.

Στον κύκλο διαλέξεων συμμετέχουν οι: Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Λασιθίου, Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Ρεθύμνου, Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Χανίων, Αμερικανική Σχολή Κλασικών Σπουδών, Βελγική Αρχαιολογική Σχολή, Βρετανική Σχολή Αθηνών, Γαλλική Σχολή Αθηνών, Ιταλική Αρχαιολογική Σχολή Αθηνών, Institute for Aegean Prehistory (INSTAP), Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης
