Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl? I can be both. If I get up early and start working IMMEDIATELY, I am super productive in the mornings. But if I don't get to start traight away, I struggle. And then of course I usually spend most nights of the week reading later tham I'm supposed to. 📖 Book Review: Sherwood by Meagan Spooner Historical fiction. YA (or maybe NA?) Swipe for my full thoughts, but TLDR; This is a fun retelling that delved into some deeper aspects of the Robin Hood tale that aren’t always explored. I really enjoyed it overall, but wish there was a bit more time developing some of the secondary characters and the romance (or really, just giving them some more page time). Q: Do you usually agree with hype, or disagree? This is hard for me to answer because of the way I approach books. If I know I plan to read a book/ series, I do my best to avoid reading too much about it before I have a chance to delve into the book. Even then, I try and go into every book I read with the lowest of expectations, that way it can only be a pleasant surprise. Of course, sometimes that's easier said than done. 📖 Book Review: The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May Upper YA/ NA historical fantasy. Book 3 in The Falconer trilogy. Swipe for my full thoughts, but TLDR; This entire series is so, so good. The finale was brutal and bittersweet. There were a few things I would have liked to see more of, but overall the ending is fitting. I’m going to miss these characters. Q: Where do you find inspiration for your captions and questions? Trying to get people to engage is hard, and I often feel like I repeat myself A LOT. Even coming back after a break, my brain is struggling to come up with anything interesting. Usually I try and base it on something to do with the book/ series in the photo, or something iteresting. Q: How has your reading been this week? I'm having a GREAT reading week. A great reading month in general, honestly. Out of all the books I've read, only two or three have been lower than four star reads for me! The down side is that I know have a LOT of book journal spreads to do 😆 Every book I rate four stars or higher gets a page in my journal. You've probably seen some of my reels for them by now. 🔖 P.S.
