Houi! This one was a bit of a three day carver to get this from sketch to finish! I didn't publicly announce the streams for this so I could work a little more one-on-one with Myfi and pause as needed if we needed to discuss some things or look up references. It's been a long time since I attempted any flames in my works, and I'm pretty content with how they turned out in this one so far - lots to still learn and figure out though - as always!

She wanted to see how I might approach making a fusion reactor look something like a heart, as Myfi is a biomechanical being (roughly equivalent to a dragon-jet - ish....), and while I inadvertently slipped a faint heart motif in there in the shape language, pretty chuffed overall with how it turned out!

I also notice each time I do a commission piece of Myfi, it's like an advancement level where I make some kind of leap in a skill or knowledge, and realize, "Well.. crud, maybe they were right about underselling myself... hah.." But, was fun nonetheless working on all her little details, and playing with glow effects.

This was also the last of my big pieces owed prior to the emergency batch - so onwards to the next set!

An emotional piece commissioned by the ever patient Myfibutts on Deviantart! I think the majority of my gallery to date has all been snow related, and I'm still figuring out new techniques and methods to improve upon them!

I'm alive! Been a rough summer for me with both the combo of Heat and Humidity on top of my mac going down for a couple of months where I gradually replaced all but two components to figure the problem. Turned out to be the harddrive that went kaput T_T Thankfully I was able to recover my art files, including this big piece featuring mechanicals I've never done before - a GAU8 with a modified holding harness and casing borrowing from weed whackers, lawnmowers, and ammo sleeves, and an MG-32 grenade launcher. This was done for a commissioner on DA for her anniversary gift with her partner, who wanted a piece of their characters having fun at a firing range. The overall design was borrowed from studying several outdoor setups, and awning styles to create the look that best suited a gun with as much heat and smoke such as the GAU produces. And of course, always practice safety first with appropriate head and ear gear!   Originally the GAU-8 was going to have all the mechanisms showing off as a nod to my tendency for details, but then I realized: fast moving parts + fur/hair = BAD DAY, so I had to draft a more civilian style cover for this beast of a BRRT machine since it's not attached to its usual wing-armor, the A-10 Warthog.
