My first camera. I gotta say the video is not the best, but I wanted to share my Olympus, I safed a whole year to buy it because I was helping at home, etc, etc, etc. So If you want, pass by and watch it. If You happen to watch it, please comment “Hola, vine de Tumblr”.

Say cheese! Click! Because the girls always see mommy using the camera, they want one too! I just discovered My First Kids Tech which offers various educational electronics such as 3d pen, wireless headphones, tracker watch, interactive microphone, lcd sketchpad, and cameras for kids.

This Insta 2 Camera caught my attention the most because it’s like a polaroid camera that prints the photos right away. With its 12 megapixel camera, the photo quality is already good. It uses quality thermal printing paper and supports microSD cards up to 32GB.

The screen resolution is also good considering this is a kids camera. It also has a video recording function so that your little ones can capture precious moments with it. I like that it comes with a front and a selfie camera too. Here’s our first try using the selfie function:

It uses thermal printing technology so you won’t have to worry about refilling ink. Each roll is capable of printing up to 80 sheets. And inside the box, there are already 3 rolls of thermal paper included. That’s a total of 240 shots. In case you run out of paper, you can also order the thermal paper from their website.

We tried playing around with the quality of print. From high, normal, and low density, I think I like the low density the most.

Faye and Thalie are enjoying it so far. They already have lots of selfies and print-outs! Faye even took photos of her dolls.

Now let’s talk about the pros and cons of this camera.

PROS:

• Helps your kids practice their photography skills and keeps them entertained

• So fun to use! Especially when you see the paper coming out

• It saves the photo digitally and you have a choice if you want to print it

• Offers unlimited printing without ink cartridge refill

• Uses economical thermal paper

• Has 12 MP camera and full HD video recording

• Has a selfie lens and greeting templates

• Comes in beautiful colors: pink and teal

CONS:

• The print-out is in black and white, hope they will have a colored version soon

• You have to buy the thermal paper refill sooner because I’m telling you, the kids won’t stop printing the photos they took! :p

I’ve had many teachers and mentors throughout my journey in photography but I must thank my late father for passing this camera down to me. I thank him for believing in my and my passion. ‘I thank you for all the advice, for nurturing and guiding me till your last breath’. Although I have never worked with this camera professionally, I am truly grateful, for it was the camera that helped me express myself. At the age of 16, it taught me many things and helped me discover techniques that I still practice till today. A camera that will stand through out time and will still be relevant for the next generation to use and discover their passion.
