So far my instincts have been spot on with the quitters. The articles tell you to trust your nose: you will smell a rotten egg before it has a chance to explode. Today there were 2: #3 - Mystery. I think it was an Olive Egger #12 - Black Copper Marans It didn't smell like sulphur. It was... indescribable, but sulphur wasn't it. 7 left of 16 from My Pet Chicken. Today we bid farewell to contestant #4. A mystery egg from My Pet Chicken. A bantam (I'm assuming from the small size). I really wanted to see what popped out of this shell, but it was not meant to be. I hate to give up on anyone, but the defined bloodline eggs have a tendency to go rotten and explode in the incubator (I read) which would put everyone else at risk.
