wip candling skin/model :3 for the candling origin
In a very sleepy but can’t sleep kind of mood so I candled Amethyst’s 4 remaining eggs. Only 3 appear viable. I’m grateful to have any good eggs at all considering what poor Mama Amethyst went through.
redraw of ravenlight, the first evolution of my fire starter fakemon, candling. old one on the left, new one on the right
4 days into the incubation process! Looking strong and healthy so far <3 all 8 in the incubator are looking good too!
THIS IS SO FUCKIN SPECIAL THIS IS EVERYTHING SOB I NEED A NAME FOR HIM FUCK IL HIM SM I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM
This is called 'candling' an egg, although obviously without using a candle but a phone's flashlight. It's to see if the egg is fertilized. I know one isn't for sure (the one on the right) since it was layed around the same time as the baby that's already hatched. The other one was layed a couple weeks later and could still be fertile and seems to be darkening but I still don't see any blood or veins. It would be unusual for an egg to be so staggered since the baby would nearly be fully grown by the time this one would hatch. I'm going to leave them in there and see what happens.
Day 7, we get to candle the eggs and get a little glimpse of what’s going on inside. Eggciting!
