petty rant below
i don't wanna directly address the person who reblogged my post about sports fans cheering on their favorite millionaire's business negotiations and corrected me with "um actually you mean MEN'S sports fans" because i understand that they're trying to make a point about pay inequality between men's and women's sports but. well. for the record i didn't just forget about women's sports. i consciously thought about my word choice and decided to leave the post as it was because 1) although there is massive systemic inequity in pay, there do exist women's athletes who are millionaires and i felt that specifying men would make it sound like i don't want serena williams to get her bag and 2) there are a lot of sports where the men are also not making money (i'm a long time figure skating fan and trust me when i say most of those skaters are barely making enough to live) so if i specified men i felt i'd have to also specify "men's major league sports" and that just threw off the cadence/vibe of the post too much. so i just left it as "sports fans." anyway never accuse me of not being intentional about my word choice ever.
oof just connected the dots and realized part of why I haven’t been as active the last few days is because I have some nagging brain stuff but I don’t want to be whiny or a bummer. like this is my blog hello
guy with ocd smoking a cigarette and googling "will smoking this cigarette kill me right now" and getting scared
