Speaking of presents

Do you know what Dee and my sis sent me?

My sis sent me a Paris photo album, i.e. she picked it up on the down low while we were in Paris. And then she filled it with all the photos of us and the goofy ones she took of me (which only her eyes aside from mine will ever see. Just sayin'). Plus she sent me perfume and these super cool magnetic bookmarks they have in her country with cats on them.

As for Dee,  remember how I said many moons ago that I want my icon on a t-shirt? Well guess what I've been sleeping in? A t-shirt she made with the pic on it. So it's me sleeping with Bill and Glenn each evening. Life is good...

Where I’m from, because I talk funny.

W - Which celebrity I’d marry?

Basically any of my faves, male or female. :) Though, no, not Mar. He wasn’t exactly marriage material. (But this is all hypothetical, ma soeur, because you know very well I don't want to get re-married!)

X - X rays I had?

I think I’ve had just about every one you can have. Plus several total body MRIs. The joys of being a preemie!

SQUEEEE

I have a photo of my sister from another mister and me taken during our Paris trip on my desk at work. One of my co-workers just came by and when I said she was my friend, not my relative, he FREAKED out. He said we look like sisters (our families are from the same part of Europe).

That just made.my.day.

I'm back!

I had such a great time with my sis in Paris. She is quite possibly the bestest that a bestie can be (and a fab roomie and tour guide)! We even left a lock with our names and Best Friends 4ever written on it on Pont Notre Dame. :)

1) Most overrated actor/actress from the 50s?

OMG, if I answer this one I will invite the wrath of many. So I'll just go with uhm, they all had star quality. :)

2) Most tragic death of all the Old Hollywood actors/actresses?

Every death was tragic in its own way, but I've got to go with Bill (Holden). What a freakin' waste! Or, to quote Billy Wilder, what a lousy fadeout for a great guy!

3) What classic film could you watch a million times and it still wouldn’t get old?

Any of my top 20. But I'll go with On The Waterfront because I must have seen it at least 50 times by now and it still blows me away.

4) What actor/actress comes to your mind that you would call a performer rather than a real actor?

Bing Crosby. (Please don't hate me peeps)

5) Favorite pre-code film? :)

DOH. Actually my fave films from that time frame are non-American ones. I'll have to go with A Nous La Liberte and Metropolis.

6) Favorite classic film actor who was named James? :)

James Cagney. 

7) Actor/actress who deserves a good biography?

Barbara Stanwyck.

8) Favorite silent film? :)

I can't choose. :p Ok,  in terms of narrative films, aside from Metropolis, maybe Broken Blossoms. Or A Trip To The Moon. Really my faves though are the documentary films by Louis Lumiere.

9) Has any classic film had a really big impact on your life? If so, which one?

DOA. It made my love film and caused me to go into film production.

10) Who do you think is the best director today?

Meh. No comment. :)

11) Which film, in your opinion, from the 20th century could never, ever be done today?

They all could be done today, especially since Hollywood LOVES its remakes. Like hello, remaking French films in English? Can you say TRAVESTY? :p
