So this is the day someone thought I was an employee in a Asian restaurant. I don't know if it was because of the black shirt, my look, my hair or my eyeliner or idk, but I am not Asian 😐 - I was so confused but I actually worked a lot in food service and I can tell this person was acting rude. What I heard was actually "so when will you do your job uh?" I was really happy to be a simple customer so she could feel embarrassed of her behavior! Oh and she didn't even apologize. Dream BIG! If we only dream within the realm of what we think we can achieve, within the framework of what doesn't scare us too badly, within the demand that we alone can make it happen with out FULLBLOWN trust IN God for his provision, direction, protection – then we live lives of mediocrity at our own hand. The truth is that in our hearts a restlessness continues to stIr us, but apparently we'd rather live with that absence of peace than to step to the edge of possibility! Here we are on the 8th of October – barely 3 months left in 2016. When the 31st of December rolls around, and you look back with the gap of time spanning then and today, what would you feel amazingly gratified about saying you accomplished in these 90 days? Because in 90 days, you can change your body, you can change a thought, you can change a relationship, and you can absolutely radically change your career! Decide! What is it? Then break it down, and go after it. You can't attack or approach or have victory over anything you don't name, so name that victory. If you need support or coaching – go get it. I know you need accountability and tracking, so invited or created or embrace it! We have to stop acting like we don't know what to do. We have to stop giving our excuses of voice and a legitimate thought. We can live the lives of our dreams if we will only dream big, name that dream, put legs to it like work and overalls and hours and connection, and then just watch what happens! So yes, I've always said that when you want to make a change, you need to Blitz it, blast it, go overboard so that you can radically change any bad habit not serving you well! If you didn't read my blog yesterday, head over to www.PamelaShaw.pink and check it out. And then today simply ask yourself two questions – 1. What do I want NOW? 2. What do I want MOST? The answer will be easy. The self-restraint will not. When you place yourself in the space of other people who are growing, achieving, competitive, determined to live life full out, people who don't waste time or procrastinate or think there is an easier day – you will get better! In our Mary Kay world, it's double credit! What will you do today to radically change any habit not serving you well? I could go through a long list of what I didn't feel like doing in either work out today, but the great endorphins and self integrity of pushing through and giving my best has no adequate description! Confidence grows! Maybe yours isn't a physical analogy like working out – but for me almost every goal can trace back to the discipline and hard work it costs me in the gym. What is the hard work in front of you today? Will you push yourself until you can go no further?
