I would like to take the time to explain the importance of my insignia and my name, MelancholyBlight, for those who do not already know. The broken halo is a reminder that nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone fucks up. Some more than others. The head floating above the shoulders of the wings states its okay to let your head drift away into the clouds. To let your mind wander. You'll find your best ideas there. The wings are between that of a bird and a bat/angel and devil. There's a dark to every light and there's a light to every dark. There's balance. Never assume anything is one way or the other. It's important to me because I personally suffer from chronic depression and anxiety. My broken halo is my flaw. I have hurt people and I have been hurt. But the past makes me who I am today. I am "blighted" by a near constant state of melancholy. And I see many around me trying to smile through their own problems. Pretending to be happy when their eyes say they are not. Humanity is blighted by melancholy. But depression and other things don't have to weigh you down. You can build yourself a pair of wings out of your melancholy and fly. You just have to know yourself. Acceptance of existence. It's a concept that will help those who suffer deal with it. Knowing they can't change what has happened. Don't forget, but forgive.
