As a proud Mexican-American, I carry deep pride in both sides of my heritage, I raise both my flags with pride. 🇲🇽🇺🇸 I was raised with rich traditions, values and resilience in my Mexican roots. While Also believing in American ideals of opportunity, diversity and unity…. But lately it’s been hard to not feel disheartened. 💔
We as Americans once celebrated our differences, now it seems like they’re being used to divide us. I have not stopped loving where I come from and where I live , I was born proud, I would choose to be Mexican again, and again…. Even in pain, we rise. Even in fear, we fight. The people united, will never be defeated. I do long for a time when being American meant embracing all of us. #proudmexicanamerican
