My Policeman thoughts

(im not a movie critic or anything so im just gonna blurt all my thoughts out and it might be a bit all over the place)

Ok so i wanna say that it was fucking amazing like overall and in all aspects it was great!!!! Harry's acting was fine, very good actually for someone who's only acted a few times. I would say it was on a similar level to his acting in dwd probably better (im really gonna try and not compare mp to dwd because they're very different movies). you could tell his acting was weaker in some points just because he sounded a bit monotone but overall he was very good and i honestly forgot it was harry most of the time because all i could see was tom. The part where they all sing made me so smiley but gave off musical vibes lmao (that's not a bad thing btw). Obviously everyone else was amazing too and harry and david had great chemistry. Ok so sex scenes....there's a lot of them, like A LOT, i lost count i think there were 3 or 4 between tom and patrick and then 2 for tom and marion. I read the book so i knew there would be multiple and they weren't shown in the trailer so i honestly forgot there were gonna be so many. i will say they are very intimate, passionate and strong which is amazing and helps tell the story (THE WHOLE CINEMA WAS SILENT AND IN SHOCK YOU COULD HEAR A PIN DROP) even the scenes between tom and marion, although they were awkward and uncomfortable (like they're supposed to be), helped show the way tom was feeling. i will warn you harry is VERY loud and expressive with his body movements and facial expressions. Even in other scenes besides the sex scenes or intimate scenes the emotion was so strong and powerful it was an emotional rollercoaster throughout the whole thing. Harry(tom) also provides a lot of comic relief in the movie which is great so you will be laughing and crying and smiling all that stuff. There were multiple points in the film where we were all like WTF and if you've read the book you know that tom has some questionable views so at two points actually it was jarring to see someone like harry act like that and say such things. ALSO harrys sexy back muscles when he's in the swimming pool AND when they were at the arcade and he was playing the game AND he looked so soft and cuddly on their honeymoon in his cute little cardigan thing and there was this one point where he did this thing and i was just like that's so harry OMGDSJAFFHSDGKJ. tom and patrick in venice and when he asks him to come to venice with him they both look so happy and yehfagfjgkkgjk also tanktoprry!?!?!?! ALSO what's with harry playing gaslighters who think cooking for their wife will fix everything!?!?!?!?! i know that tom lies to protect him and patrick so obviously hes gonna lie but still. in the book i never really felt bad for marion because of what she did but in the movie i think seeing marion as an actual person did make me sympathise with her at the start because she had no idea what was going on and she was lied to but then she did what she did and started going on about 'changing' tom and 'fixing' him and i didnt feel bad for her anymore. and when the thing happens and tom and patrick make eye contact you just feel awaful. i personally i felt bad for all three of them but especially tom and patrick when they're older and younger and i only felt bad for marion up until she found out and then obviously did what she did. I didn't feel bad for older marion really. ALSO the cigarette scene IYKYK. whenever it was older patrick i just wanted to cry same with older tom because you could feel how unhappy they were and you could feel the regret especially tom and even marion. Harry was right when he said it was about wasted time because you could see and feel how all three of them just wasted their life and could have lived it so differently which reminds you that it wasn't so easy back then to live authentically. I'm not gonna spoil the ending but if you've read the book it's pretty much the same but marion goes about it differently AND OMG THE LAST SCENE WHEN IT HAPPENS YOU'LL START TO SOB, THE WHOLE CINEMA GASPED AND STARTED CRYING. its very bittersweet i guess but you will leave feeling sad and REGRET for them.
