Glad he got out of surgery okay!

I wouldn't have immediately gone with Hufflepuff, but as usual your analysis works perfectly! Thanks for making me think about this! Great response.
Aw, thanks. <3
I'm so glad that your dog came through the surgery okay (at least mostly!) and I hope the teary eyes and squinting are normal. They probably are, though, and I'm so glad he can see again! Keep us updated and feel better!
Thank you! I will! Yeah, chances are it’s normal. I’m part glad I don’t have to deal with it for a day (dragging myself to a professional development class with a fever will be awful enough) and part of me just gets more nervous not having him in my sight every minute.

This is too hard. Why did I ask for this, again? I have 1 and 2, and after that it’s just a mess.

I’ve been thinking abt this so much omg I already know my #1 ofc but THE OTHERS SUCH A CHALLENGE
Somehow trying to fill the maximum 20 relationships made it harder for me. I had like 7 solid votes at the top of my list (Tighs = #5) and then everything else was me shouting OH AND ANOTHER THING and frantically shuffling rankings around.

*bites bullet* DONE, REGRETS NOTHING. My problematic 20th fave deserves one vote at least. Exactly one vote.

How do you know I didn’t already?*
(*I didn’t, sorry, there’s not enough spaaace.)

Ships, friendships, and hateships could almost be three separate polls. But I’m not sure you want to put yourself through that.
Also, it just occurred to me that my favorite pairing of Felix & Gaius actually qualifies for all three, which makes me really happy.
I think that’s actually the beauty of just doing “relationships” in general. So many two-character pairings had relationships that shifted dramatically over the course of the show, they’re not easily separated as enemies or allies or family/friends or lovers. I also like the idea of it not turning into *just* a ship war and giving things their due that were (a) important non-romantic relationships and (b) things people did ship but weren’t 100% canon, ‘cause there’s a lot of overlap there. Aaah I am increasingly excited about doing this and it might be a disaster but watch this space.

So, Laura/Gaius, Laura/Gaius, Laura/Lee, Laura/Gaius, Laura/Lee, Laura/Gaius?
YEP THAT’S THE SPIRIT.

I would actually be into a poll that just lists minor characters and “Who made it to Earth, yes or no?” That’s the kind of thing that interests me. What about Sergeant Hadrian? What about Bulldog?! I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS.
HAHAHA my minor character theory usually goes “anyone we didn’t see after S2 died on New Caprica, anyone we didn’t see from a point after that lived to the end.” So Bulldog’s okay. Hadrian maybe not. Boxey I’m so sorry.

I feel like the whole clusterfuck around Lee and Kara would be like a nuke
I dunno, they’d *absolutely* be high but considering my followers and how the character poll turned out, I would not count out other ships.

Do it. (With the romantic or otherwise caveat).
“How many winners will you show, Nicole?” “EXACTLY AS MANY AS IT TAKES FOR LAURA & GAIUS’ HATESHIP TO GET ON THE LIST.”
(actually the most obvious countdown I’m missing is a “favorite relationship” one but that seems like a hornet’s nest of feelings I’m not sure I want to kick...)
I miss them too! I know there’s been a couple of requests for a “minor character” version, and my own idea was doing a favorite musical theme countdown, but I don’t know how many people would actually vote? They’re not the BIG things of casual fandom like major characters and episodes, and I’d be kinda sad if there was a dramatic drop in interest.

So… does that make Amy an insecure extrovert? Maybe that’s too far. Interesting thoughts, though, especially about how often Clara is depicted alone versus how rare it is for Amy.
I probably missed a time or two there... but I’m still pretty sure that it’s a way more common experience for Clara than it is for Amy, to get those not directly adventure related quiet moments, on her own, at home or at work. (Although this is actually the first time I considered that difference.) There are a lot of storytelling-related reasons for that - their respective travel arrangements, the greater focus on Clara’s “real life”, Amy’s marriage, etc. - but it still creates circumstances in which what we see on screen fits an introverted reading of Clara much better than it does Amy.
I think “insecure extrovert” describes Amy well, not only in contrast to the “confident introvert” perspective on Clara and the way Clara and Amy tend to be complete opposites in many respects. Amy might display plenty of confidence, but her insecurities play such a huge part in her life and her behaviour. Fearing loss and abandonment, being scared of commitment, the ways in which people thinking her mad made her an outsider... arguably her difficulties at connecting with more than a handful of inidividuals (and even those with some major issues along the way) would be deeply tied to that.
