what did you think about Galaxy Quest?

I really liked it! It totally lived up to its reputation as a love letter to Star Trek specifically and cheesy scifi shows & movies in general, and to the fans of all of the above. I felt seen and appreciated, and laughed a lot. I particularly enjoyed the meta-casting of Alan Rickman as Actor Who Is So Much More Professional Than Anyone Else Here, including his inevitable earnest recitation of the "You shall be avenged line" NOT as full of "real" vengeance (though he did promptly tackle an enemy alien), but as a benediction to the dying.

"#who the fuck is out here doing jukebox musical episodes that’s bullshit" Riverdale, Grey's Anatomy, the Flash (kinda) off the top of my head. I think the Grey's one works best because it's songs that were used in the show's pivotal moments in earlier seasons, but otherwise yeah, it's cowerdice. Give me Scrubs' Guy Love any day over a perfect rendition of Moonriver.

I can see Riverdale pulling it off on sheer power of whatever the hell Riverdale had going on.

I should REALLY take inspiration from @shmreduplication's Time Loop Project and watch every single musical episode of non-musical tv shows (and also perhaps every complete musical tv show, of which I do keep a mental To Watch list.)

Note that I don’t simply have every villain song - only the best. I am, of course, waiting desperately for Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventures s3 to end so they’ll release the season soundtrack and I can add “Crossing the Line” and “Nothing Left to Lose”.

I have absolutely no idea, sorry. I heard somewhere that they had some technically difficulties so possibly it won’t be made widely available? But that’s secondhand speculation.
