Why I decided not to take Philosophy anymore:
1. I realized, my interest towards it is fueled by negativity. -Now this may be debatable, but it’s what I just realized. I react on things, I groan, I criticize, and that’s how I write “editorials” (lol if they can be called that XD #selfdoubt), that’s how I engage into debates.
I’m not sure if that’s how you do philosophy, but its foundation is argument, and in an argument, you have to take a side, you have to present a proposition, you have to find the other side’s flaws, its holes.
That may not be the right way, but that’s how I do it, I guess. And I don’t want to search for the other’s flaws anymore. I want to search for the beauty in them. The positivity. And all that, because I began to know God. Which brings me to my second point.
2. I am on my way to Jesus, and it has to be full-time. No compromise.
-Philosophy involves a lot of thought experiments. It involves a lot of questions, simple yet unanswered questions. Questions that could only be debated or “answered” through pure reliance on LOGIC. LOGIC AND HUMAN COMPREHENSION.
“Trust God with all your heart and lean NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.”
I decided to go full-time on obeying His Words. And you pretty much get the idea. It’s also how my passion for service was set ablaze. Because HE first loved ME. He first loved us. And I have to compensate for that Love not because I am compelled to, but because I WANT TO, and I’M OFFERING MYSELF TO HIM.
