While we're on the subject of background noise I want to give a huge shout-out to mynoise.net for being one of the most consistently useful websites I've ever stumbled across.

It's just pure soundscapes, most of which are recorded in the wild. Rain, gardens, forests, cafes, singing bowls, the seaside... and there's more fantastical ones too (like, good for D&D background ambience and such).

There's so much functionality to it and it's such a labor of love. It's gotten me through some hard times, and bad focus days, it helps with meditation - like, I genuinely cannot hype this site up enough.

And it's free! There's a paid tier if you want to support the project (and you should if you're able) but it's SO USEFUL AND GOOD at the free tier too. Go use it!!
