I do not understand how people aren't bawling about this part of the scene because dean RECOILS and WIMPERS "cas, no.. cas CAS" and puts his hand up in SURRENDER

but cas has his hand OPEN and his arm is moving SLOWLY

literally the only attack that would begin like that is if Cas were going to grab Dean's broken, bruised face and snap his neck - cas is certainly strong enough to do that without momentum

i'm pretty damn sure dean thinks cas might kill him.
