Every book I've read said he was a fire giant and so I thought marvel changed it for their story, but my professor and mythology textbook say otherwise. Huh.
And it’s also like… Loki is a trickster a liar and a deceiver because he is LITERALLY the god of mischief. His personality is not malleable in the way a humans is, he is a god and his role as a god is going to effect his choices and behavior. I’m not sure he could stop lying cheating and deceiving even if he wanted to but he’s still blamed for his actions as if they were a true choice on his part while other gods are not held to this standard and it’s so sysphian because he is incapable of change so their hatred of him basically serves no purpose
