⁣★ - what are you currently reading? hello friends, Oh look its the most asked question! But honestly I am knee deep into A Torch Against the Night & well things are getting intense. You ever get so into a book that you don't want to stop reading, yup thats currently me! And if anyone understands, its you guys. I haven’t read Rage of Dragons, We Hunt the Flame, or Shadow of the Fox yet, but I am really excited for them all. ★ Do you have a favorite romance series? One of my favorites is @penelope.douglas' dark romance series, Devil's Night and I’m featuring it today for #myunderratedread! Each of the books follows different main characters, though all of the characters are present throughout the series. This is one of those series that I *still* think of, months and months after finishing it. These books are fun and seductive and the story grabs you by the collar and pulls you right in. I love the relationships, both romantic and not, between all of the characters — they're ones I've come to love dearly. If you're already a fan or have been wanting to give dark romance a shot, I cannot recommend these enough. Will & Damon forever 🖤😙 Penelope Douglas is a favorite author that kind of snuck up on me. I first read her standalone, Birthday Girl, in 2019 and loved it, but didn't read any other books by her until last summer. SInce then I've fallen down the rabbit hole and I *think* I only have one more book to read from her backlist. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Needless to say, she easily became a favorite last year. I'm really looking forward to her upcoming Hellbent series. ★ What was the last new release book you got? Today is the day and My Contrary Mary is out in the world! Happy Book Birthday to @cynthiahand, @brodiashton and @unicornwarlord! These are quite easily some of the most hilarious and just downright fun books I have ever read, and they have the ✨BEST✨audiobooks, too. My Contrary Mary is the first book in the Mary series and follows Mary Queen of Scots. This book is connected to the Janies series (especially My Lady Jane!), which are all comedic, quirky historical retellings of famous Janes. I love these books so much, they are underrated favorites and deserve so much praise and love. ★ Do you have any underrated OTPs?    Alright y’all, if you haven’t read the Starbound Trilogy by @amiekaufmanauthor and @meaganspooner, you absolutely must. ESPECIALLY the audiobooks (*chef’s kiss*).    Truly, I adore this trilogy. It’s a #myunderratedread, and Lilac and Tarver are absolutely one of my underrated OTPs. ★ Multiple POV or just one?  Today I am featuring one of my all-time favorite series, The Earthsinger Chronicles by @leslyepenelope!    This is one of *the best* fantasy series I’ve ever read. It has just the right amount of thrilling storytelling, enchanting mythology, an intricate magic system, and steamy adult romance. Each book expands the world and characters as their paths become entangled. I’ll include the summary below!    As you continue to diversify your shelves, please do yourself a favor and pick series up, it is an underrated gem that deserves all of the fangirling.    ★ SUMMARY //  The kingdoms of Elsira and Lagrimar have been separated for centuries by the Mantle, a magical veil that has enforced a tremulous peace between the two lands. ★ What are some books with fae that you’ve enjoyed that are not by Sarah J Maas or Holly Black? I love love LOVE The Falconer trilogy by @_elizabethmay. I think ACOTAR was the first story I’d ever read with fae creatures and it definitely instilled in me the desire to read more of them! In my quest to find more, I discovered The Falconer and it is such and incredible #myunderratedread. If you enjoy darker fae, broody and mysterious (fae) love interests, historical fantasy/romance, tough heroines and fae folklore, I highly recommend this series. It is so good! ★ What book world would you return to with a new series if you could?    I’d love to return to the world of #FallingKingdoms by @morganrhodesya. This is one of my all-time favorite fantasy series. I love the characters and there’s so much more we could explore!    If you’re a fan of Throne of Glass, I highly recommend this series. They have similar qualities, though I definitely love things about Falling Kingdoms more.
