After completing my undergraduate programme in Malaysia, along with a short internship period at ODA Interior Design, one of Malaysia’s renowned design firm, I could confidently express my values that I have discovered of myself in both educational and professional fields. My values have most certainly evolved over time, improving myself as a person and as an Interior Architect.
The values that I felt that best describe me are:
Achievement. All my life, is all about achieving something great in life that makes my family and myself proud.
Community. I love giving back to the community, whether be in through big or small contributions that help improve the lives of others.
Friendships. I value my friends a lot, as friendships play a big part as my support in life.
Growth. Life is all about growing up, and constantly evolving to make myself the better person by learning from my mistakes in the past.
Leadership. I love taking charge in any project so that I can have control of the quality of the project, making me the de facto choice as group project leader. However, I will always give my teammates the opportunity to express their views and opinions, allowing them to become leaders as well.
Learning. Learning never stops, not even now.
Recognition/Status. I feel like this is an important value to me as I want to achieve recognition for my work so that I can create my own design firm in te future.
Responsibility. This value is the utmost important because without it, it willbe chaotic. Hence, I will always pride myself in the tasks given to ensure the outcome is the best that it could be.
