My cat is sleeping on me constantly lately. No matter what I'm doing, she leaps onto me and falls in a very still sleep. She's not annoying and not in the way ever-- just asleep. Ive had her for ten years this year, and she hasn't been like this ever. The most recent change is that when I leave town for long periods for work or school, I take her with me. My parents don't wanna deal with her anymore. If anything she seems healthier and happier since then.
The only problem is I'm absolutely convinced that something is wrong with her. The only thing people will tell me is, "she just feels safest with you, she feels relaxed. She loves you" and regardless of how many times I hear the answer I'm absolutely not convinced. We've always been attached but I don't think I ever thought she *loved* me. Yet here I am, every day, with a creature who is happily asleep on my chest. But I'm still in denial about the whole thing.
she is just a cat. She only knows one way to act. And she wants to sit where I sit, and she's so happy lately. So I guess this is what we do now.
