I got really upset yesterday because I was thinking about the time my house burned down. Every time I see a fire, I get so sad. I get sad when I see a wood stove. I get sad when I see old school houses. I get sad when I see chimneys. I'm sad because my childhood home is gone. Forever. I'll never step foot into that historic building ever again. It never got the credit it deserves.. My old school house used to be a school for African Americans during segregation. When it still stood, many family members of the people who attended the school would often visit and would want to take a tour. We can't do that anymore.. There aren't any pictures of it, because they were all located in the home. And my memory is shit when it comes to remembering the details of buildings. I don't really know where I was going with this, but I just needed to vent?? I miss it, and it's history.. They'll never come back.
