Post-Shroud! Robert trying to find something to do with his time now that he wasn’t Mecha Man nor was he chasing shroud and is in need of hobbies.
May I recommend to you: Baking. I know, I know, it probably doesn’t seem likely but consider:
Robert focusing on his dog and conceding to letting his dog go on a diet.
He and Chase pool together to get him the good meals that aren’t just a bunch of dog food or meat from Robert’s sandwich.
Robert who goes online for recipes and finds different treats for his dog. And desserts. Dog friendly desserts. So of course he tries his hand at it.
I don’t necessarily follow the conception that baking is only easier because the recipe is stricter but for this au we’ll go with it because Robert is a very…disciplined guy (in the least depressing way I can put it).
And then dog friendly desserts go to non dog friendly because he decides to bake cupcakes for Mandy’s birthday and he gives Chase a pan of brownies (“No, there’s no weed in them. The fuck?”) and then suddenly Courtney’s up in his face about it so he makes her a cake and it spirals into the Z team wanting desserts from him.
It’s tiring, sure, but Robert doesn’t mind letting himself be consumed with this hobby. He even allows himself to branch out and experiment with other desserts like flan, pies, tarts, bread, puddings, etc.
To the surprise of no one, his favorite dessert to make for himself (something he does rarely) is a tiramisu. And if you’re all for the Wasian! Hc then add a few desserts as well. Personally, I like Yakgwa so he likes Yakgwa.
Robert’s busiest time is whenever there’s a holiday. And don’t let it be Valentine’s Day, he’s so booked and busy he cannot function! Chocolates after chocolates with different fillings, cake pops, and other sweets that he must make. Oh lord.
Courtney pokes at him the most for treats so he makes her his unofficial taste tester and likes to fuck with her sometimes by adding too much of a certain ingredient or add an ingredient he didn’t need to just to watch her face scrunch up (like too much vanilla or salt instead of sugar) and it keeps her on her toes enough that she doesn’t ask as often
Victor and Bruno commissions for edibles and the only reason Robert complies is because a) Golem provides the weed) and b) he gets a small portion of it.
Malevola and Katon-Ur tend to lean toward the more spicier desserts. Chad leans toward the colder desserts like ice cream. Alice is all for puddings and parfaits. Courtney loves a homemade funnel cake or Maja Blanca (Filipino!). Golem and Victor (as previously stated) are all for brownies (even without weed). Janelle is a classic eclair and croissant girl and Colm is all for pies or a good old spiced barmbrack.
It’s important to Robert that he knows not only the desserts but what flavors his teammates love best (caramel, syrup, chocolate, fruity, etc).
And on the holidays like Christmas or New Years, he’ll dedicate himself into researching and making each member a dish from their culture.
