Welp. It looks like Naruto Arena is finally down. And so closes - in complete seriousness - a sizable chapter of my life.

I poured an ungodly amount of time into that game. Even after my feelings towards the series itself turned bitter, N-A kept pulling me back in. It was the perfect casual strategy game for me. Needed something to kill some time with? I played N-A. Wanted to listen to some new music and play something at the same time that wouldn’t distract me from it? I played N-A. It became my go-to game - along with its two variants, Soul Arena and War of Ninja, neither of which survived as long as they deserved.

R.I.P. N-A. Thank you for making the last 10 years of my life more enjoyable. Here’s to hoping that one of the fan-made projects, like Shinobi Arena, will successfully take up the mantle sometime soon. Because boy, am I going to have a hell of an itch to scratch in N-A’s absence.
