Finally, Bregga’s long and lonely journey concludes with meeting her beloved companion Faatin, which is really the best ending she could hope for.
To many more wonderful years.

Awwww. From happy kisses to sorrowful goodbyes. This page is a roller coaster of feels.
Faatin was exiled from her clan because she did a Bad Thing. However, it’s unrelated to her relationship with Nami (she’ll tell Bregga about the Bad Thing eventually … just … not during this backstory). Faatin and Nami were planning to wed before the Bad Thing happened ;-; It’s quite sad.
Fun fact: Faatin’s culture is partially inspired by my and T’s cultures (both matrilocal & Indigenous to the beautiful deserts of North America). In fact, Al used images of the Navajo rez as inspiration for the art in this mini-comic
You say potato, I say ALIEN. Potahto, ALIEN. Tomato, ALIEN. Tomahto, ALIEN. Okay. Enough of this silliness. I’m so excited for the next page. Vars will try to flirt with a biologist, and that’s risky business. Trust me: I’m a biologist.
