i love and appreciate the fact that literally everyone who watched the raya and the last dragon trailers took one look at Naamari and Raya and went “ah, yes, sword lesbians”

EDIT: so i posted this like a week+ before i saw the movie and i would to add: i feel uncomfortable posting about ratld without acknowledging the cultural significance of Disney having a SEA princess! because dude!! that’s big!!! i love the girls but also this movie has a WHOLE lot more going it for it than shipping and people seem to be forgetting that?

I just watched Raya and the last dragon and all I have to say is that movie is the most slow burn enemies to lovers fanfic that I’ve seen in the big screen.

Like, who’s gonna tell Disney that is gay activity and one of the most used tropes for gay fanfics ever 👀
