Just a few concepts for religious symbols of different gods in my world. Still undecided about whether or not these are the final version. General rule, the amount of circles usually predicts how ominous something is.
Should speak for itself. Symbol of the god God.
Religious symbol of the wolf god Naceus. If used as a pendant, it is always made out of wood. It has an outer circle and two overlapping perpendicular diameters where one is always in front of the other. The wood symbolises the connection between Naceus, the follower, and nature.
Religious symbol of the demon half god Tomius Feren. He doesn’t have many followers and doesn’t enforce his followers to wear symbols related to him. The College also uses this symbol due to its affiliation with Tomius. Bears resemblance to the christian cross due to the way Tomius and his ideology were influenced by God throughout his life. Also known as how I start drawing my faces.
Literally the symbol for ‘O’ from the demonic word for Guild, which is Ohargu. The O with a circle in the middle stands for the Guild and the united force of Tin and Kor, while the ones with a triangle and an inverted triangle stand respectively for the Ashen gods Tin and Kor alone, who are believed to have founded the Guild. It’s basically the same letter three times over just written in a different way. By taking a letter as its symbol, the Guild claims that its supremacy is apparent in everyday life, even in every book or written text that uses demonic script.
Three-Pointer summoning sigil
This sigil is generally always associated with the mad god Deimos. If followers want to summon him to either give him a sacrifice or to strike a deal, they have to draw this symbol following very exact geometrical rules and perfection. The symbol has to be drawn in a substance that has been completely defiled (infused with dark mana energy) for it to work, but it can be drawn on any material. If the symbol isn't completely geometrically correct with the right angles, Deimos will still show up but he’s very likely to just devour the souls of his summoners as a way of getting back at their lack of precision and respect.
Deimos deliberately made this symbol a pain in the ass to draw because he thought it would be a good life lesson in neatness. It also contains six christian crosses under a perspective because he is sure that he is the one who deserves God’s position.
Feren choker/Hellfire choker
Not so much of a religious symbol, but more of a religious accessory worn by the sympathisers of Damon Feren, one of Hell’s current leaders. It usually is a metal plate with three small emeralds in it, one on the left, one on the middle, and one on the right. Underneath it is another small emerald, held up by a string attached to the most left and the most right side of the plate. Above it at 1/3rd and 2/3 of the metal plate’s length two rings hold two individual ends of the same string, which then come together in a small tube. The rest of the string is used to hang the pendant around the neck. The pendant is usually pretty heavy for a pendant.
There has been a lot of protest about the name of the choker coming from Tomius, who claims it would imply that the Feren family is inherently evil, while in reality only two thirds of the family is. He suggested the name Hellfire choker instead, which some people started using afterwards as a more appropriate and more clear name.
