Thinking about Naim and Ryan turning to look at each other while a song about worship is playing. Two boys who have been ruined by religion finding devotion in each other.

naim did not come from a household that was physically affectionate. in the previous places he lived, he was so concerned about making his friends uncomfortable that they never hugged or slept in the same bed either. god forbid changing in front of eachother.

so when he and ryan got together, he really had to get used to the casual touches from ryan. ryan’s love language has always been physical touch, and he finds a lot of comfort through that. he loves having a hand on naim, bringing him comfort and feeding his possessive nature that has only grown since they ran away.

naim likes when ryan touches him like this, but hesitates initiating. he gets in his head saying that he is making ryan uncomfortable or that his draw to feel ryan casually is in some way predatory. one day, while ryan is making them dinner, naim puts a hand on his waist. ryan leans in and kisses him on the head, a seal of approval. naim was more free with his touches after that day.
