This is why the Duffers are bad writers.

Listen I would be okay with Mike being too upset in the MOMENT, if he had casually and easily said I love you earlier in the season. Also I think the reason why (I’m gonna guess the actors) said they should kiss there (cuz their final kiss wasn’t in the script) is because until episode 8 it wasn’t clear they were even together.

I know the duffers lie but if they wrote four and five together did they forget the audience was left with El and Mikes relationship still being rocky at the end of four?

Also this is just me pointing out…these scripts are shit. Like I know I’m spoiled working on “invincible”and now “Magic the gathering” but omg. Like I’ve worked on shows with rough scripts but these scripts are so amateurish. Like I’ve cringed reading them.

It’s like they forget scripts are written for a VISUAL MEDIUM. We can’t guess what your characters are thinking and they seem to try and do that. It’s like they want to be subtle but don’t actually understand that subtle storytelling is about SHOWING!!! It’s cinematography and ambiance. Not just giving your actor direction. God I’m just constantly annoyed that the Duffers got so lucky. They have this sob story about pitching this show all over town but they also had VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE!!! They literally only worked on one other show before this!!! I have more credits than them!!!! These dudes are not geniuses they just got super lucky!
