I'm actually pretty proud on this turned out. Starting by the composition, later by the perspective, after colors and finally the render. I think I would liked to add more pink, but eh, I still like it tbh

Can you explain what the Nakachi AU is? I’m curious :3

be prepared for a yap session chat.......

so basically one day when dazai was 15, he got into this niche lil community online, it was basically just a bunch of alternate trans people and they were all big fans of this one singer named 'NAKACHI'

he was curious abt it and it seemed like a nice community, so he listened to the music and nearly instantly fell in love with it

nakachi was this mystery singer, his voice was HEAVILY edited and distorted, and he showed absolutely no photos of himself, not even a picture of his hands

but the music comforted him, made him feel happy, and yadda yadda yadda, but after april ended, all of a sudden, nakachi just........stopped making music!! 2 albums and only a few singles

however, dazai didnt wanna let go of the music, not when it meant so much to him, so for 7 years he continued listening to the songs, just playing them on loop

one day however, he moved in and got this new roommate, named chuuya nakahara

chuuya was somewhat closed off, mostly spending time in his room on his laptop, but when dazai interacted with him, chuuya didn't ignore him or anything - infact, he was quite nice, and they had fun with eachother whenever they hung out

and most importantly, chuuya let dazai yap to him about his favorite singer! and even let him play the music around him.

merely 1 month into their roommate-ship, dazai found out chuuya made small tidbits of music, and of course- dazai encouraged him!! chuuya seemed to really enjoy it, and he had fun, and he said that he used to make a bunch of music from 14 up until he was 16 but recently he's been getting back into it

.......BUT THEN... 6 MONTHS LATER, NAKACHI RELEASED A NEW ALBUM?!?!?!?!?! dazai was EXTREMELY confused, but also extremely happy and excited, so of course he went to his roommate and screamed that there was a new album, and then they both listened to it together!

a few weeks later, dazai wandered into chuuya's room without knocking (like he usually did...) and saw chuuya working on a new song. "ooo! can i have a listen?" dazai requested, which chuuya simply responded to with..

"nah". this was somewhat unusual, chuuya would usually just let him listen immediately. dazai pouted, and crossed his arms over his chest- "please?" and once again, chuuya said- "nah." so dazai gave up and just lingered in chuuya's room for about 30 minutes, before leaving.

...but at one moment, chuuya headed off to go to the bathroom, so dazai very mischievously sneaked into chuuya's room and listened to the work in progress, and then just smiled to himself- happily thinking 'wow, my roommate is so good at making music!', and then placed the headphones exactly how chuuya left them and then he skipped off to his own bedroom.

and then... the following day, nakachi released a single! dazai, of course, listened to it and then thought

".........wait one FUCKING second. this sounds like the thing chuuya was working on yesterday. excuse a moi."

so of course, he confronted chuuya- kinda right after the ginger woke up.

"ARE YOU NAKACHI."

chuuya blinked, and awkwardly looked around, and then didnt say anything, looking rather stressed out-

....and so after quite a while, chuuya finally confessed he was, in fact, nakachi.

dazai processed that and then.... felt EXTREMELY giddy.

he loved chuuya, as his roommate, he was a genuinely nice person, and he was fun. but dazai also loved nakachi, and nakachi's music. so... this kinda made dazai love and adore chuuya even more-

instead of stressing chuuya out further and freaking out that his roommate was also his favorite singer who comforted him through very rough times, he just gently hugged chuuya.

thats kinda what i gots for now......... i definitely have a lil idea which is in the future, a bit after they start dating (BC OF COURSE. THEY GOTTA DATE THEY LOVE EACHOTHER) nakachi/chuuya gets the opportunity to be an opening for another band and he goes and then reveals his face at it and all his fans go absolutely insane and shit but that'd be further in the au like maybe 4 or something months after IDONTKNOW and i dunno how to write that yet 💔(<- big dum dum here)

TL;DR : secret singer chuuya = nakachi, chuuya roommates with dazai, dazai big fan of nakachi, dazai encourages chuuya to make music, nakachi releases album, a bit after that dazai discovers chuuya is nakachi, goes insane, they kiss eventually LMAO

also nakachi's music is like femtanyl and stomach book.......heh...... obligatory femtanyl song ---v

have you thought about how the other bsd characters function in some of your aus? (i.e. atsushi, the rest of the ada, DOA, etccccc) just curious :3 scrumptious drawings btw!

personally for my aus i just focus on idk like max 3 characters, most of the time other characters just don't really impact the story and the result is me just not thinking much abt how they'd act / react

i guess for cwetpm, i thought abt it a tiny lil bit, but thats only bc i kinda have to in a way??? like hes killing the entire Port Mafia, and if i ever turn cwetpm into a real fanfic or whatever, i'd need to think about how the characters he's killing would act, right💔

for post cwetpm, i dont rly gotta do that, bc its mainly just dazai trying to find out what happened to the Port Mafia and what happened to chuuya, maybe the ada would kinda try and ask him what the fuck he's doing but like hhhh he'd just ignore them and go off on a solo investigation

for nakachi, no, just nah, im not planning to make any other characters rly show up, its skk focussed so it shall stay skk focussed

and for white ribbons.... ehhhhh………hmmmm..... idk.... the au is still a wip, and i dont rly know in what way to direct the story, but i am thinking of bringing chuuya and kyouka to the ada so theyre safe and stuff, so i would have to think abt how pm members like akutagawa and kouyou would react and how the ada in general would react

i have a bunch of mini aus but for the majority of them, it just doesn't matter to me

whenever i come up with an au i just make it bc i wanna see how this specific character will act in this situation, and i wanna focus on that specific character yk
