Catching Up on Blogging + Weekend Travel Plans!

Okay, I’m seriously behind on blogging, but here’s some good news: this weekend, I’ve got big travel plans! I’m heading to Nakatsu in Oita, and I can’t wait to check out some cool spots. On my list are Nakatsu Castle, Yabakei, Rakanji Temple, and the highlight—Core Yamakuni Skate Rink (which, sadly, shuts down for the season this weekend, so I’m determined to get there before it closes). 🏰⛸️

I’ve even booked a cheap hotel near Nakatsu Station, so I’ll be all set when I arrive. I’m planning to leave my apartment on Saturday as early as possible—because let’s face it, I’ll definitely need coffee to fuel the day ahead. ☕🚆

The one thing I’m a bit worried about is the rural bus ride—there are no trains to the rink, so it’s all about figuring out the bus routes. But, I’m up for the challenge! In between, I’ll try to squeeze in a few more hidden gems—hopefully, I’ll stumble upon something unexpected.

My legs are gonna cry. If the chair lift is not operating to the temple, then I have to hike an hour-ish to get up there. (I hope I don't fail and that the weather is nice, because I read if the weather is bad they'll close the mountain.)

I rewatched Hana Kimi recently and it made me so happy... I do have my issues with it, but it just put a smile on my face whenever I started an episode.

Mizuki's and Nakatsu's friendship made me so happy.

The way they always had each other's backs in their trio.

Watching this also awoke some old feelings of mine. Me wishing I was one of the boys, while still being a girl but them not seeing me as a girl-
