Ever since she had walked back into their lives, Kiara had not been quite sure what to make of Nala. She remembered being fond of the older woman when she was little, remembered wishing that Nala could be the sister she did not have. Now, so many years later, Kiara could not help but be a little bit in awe of her. The amount of beauty and grace and poise Nala seemed to carry was still something that Kiara couldn’t help but think ‘I want to be like that when I grow up’ about, even though she was grown up now. Despite all that, it was also still true that Nala had seemed bent on disrupting their lives here since she had shown up. Pulling them into something Simba refused to really explain to her. After so many years, Kiara was comfortable with Her American life. She didn’t want it to change too much. Plus, having another ‘babysitter’ in her life was far from ideal. Yet there could still be an advantage to it. Maybe. “Have you not dragged my dumb brother out for a dance yet?” Kiara asked, a light bit of laughter in her voice as she lithely walked up beside Nala. If she could get the two of them distracted with each other, maybe they wouldn’t have enough time to be watching her. “You can’t just stand around here all night, Nala. It’s a party! Have some fun!”
