A wise king once told me, “We are one.” I didn’t understand him, then… Now, I do. But… They… Them? Us? Look at them! They are us! What differences do you see?

“I adore my brothers, I do! And I’m going to tell them … I’m just cringing over the fallout.” She sighed and then shook her head. “How many do you have?”
“I get you there. Believe me, I do. I have two of them. One older and one twin. He’s younger than me though.”
oncebrned:
“That storm was insane,” Fifi said as she slung her bag around her shoulder. “Thank goodness I was stocked at my apartment. Though I do have a leak now which is not ideal.” She shrugged. “But that is nothing. How did you hold up?”
“I held up fine, I guess. Spending that much time stuck indoors with my brothers and our roommates was a bit frustrating, but we all survived.”
jimhawkinss:
“Oh yeah there’s always some sort of saving up in involved. I don’t really spend big on anything else - So that helps too.”
“That’s fair. Most of my money ends up going towards school. Which is a pretty good use for it too.”
mariebonfamillexfantasia:
“Exactly. And …I don’t even know now. Being stubborn? Worrying about their reactions and being stupid about it? I hate, seriously hate, to use a cliche but it seemed like a good idea at the time.”
“I guess I can’t really blame you for all of that. Brothers can be overbearing, protective and judgmental sometimes. I know mine are.”
jimhawkinss:
“They are pretty cool. I’ve basically been on them from the first opportunity I could be.”
“Agreed. I’ve ridden on a couple before, but I couldn’t afford to actually own one.”
mariebonfamillexfantasia:
“He’s not overreacting yet, but it looks like our baby brother got engaged without telling anyone. And … I did exactly the same thing.”
“Oh. Yeah, okay. That sounds like more of a thing. Is there a reason that neither of you said anything about something like that? Seems like something you’d wanna share with people.”
blueberrypolkadot:
“I like the way you think. Good idea!”
“Isn’t it? Delaying the fun doesn’t really do anyone any good.”
blueberrypolkadot:
“Can I just skip to the part of the day where I get cake?”
“Why skip or wait? Just have cake now.”
jimhawkinss:
“A fortune teller told me this morning that I was going to find love this year. So I went to the motor store and bought the first bike I saw. Happy late Christmas to me!”
“That sounds like a good call. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle, but they look like fun.”
mariebonfamillexfantasia:
Marie blinked down at the text on her phone. “Oh, my God, my brothers and I have got to work on our communication.” Then she winced. “Tully’s going to kill us both.”
“Brothers can be like that. What’s your’s over-reacting to?”
bxronjacy:
“What kind of dance is this?” Jacy tilted his head. His brow was furrowed with confusion. “We’re supposed to – This is more of waltz kind of place.” The majority of Jace’s evening had been spent in the main ballroom but he’d certainly seem some interesting people come in from the other room.
“I mean, I’d be willing to bet there’s a fair amount of people here that don’t even really know how to waltz.” Kiara shrugged. “And does it really make that much of a difference anyway? Everyone’s having fun no matter what they’re doing.”
nalamoyo:
If you’d have asked her a week ago where she’d be on New Year’s Eve, Nala might’ve very well said she’d be sitting in her apartment, wondering just how much longer she’d find herself in New York. Wondering about her mother, and Simba’s mother, back home. Instead, she’s in the midst of a vast group of people, celebrating the end of this year in a way she finds somewhat surprising. Of course, she’s watched the ball drop on television before, but hadn’t ever expected a party like this to accompany that. At the sound of Kiara’s voice, pulling her from her reverie, Nala looks to the younger girl, trying not to look startled. “That’s a silly question, isn’t your brother supposed to be the one to ask me?” Eyebrows raise, though there’s a hint of amusement in her tone. “I’m not just sitting around, anyway. I’m observing. There is a difference, you know,”
“Nala, come on!” Kiara said in exasperation, rolling her eyes behind her mask. “I mean, that’s a nice thought and all, but it’s about to be 2019! Get with the times. You shouldn’t have to wait around for him to stop being dumb. Especially since -- trust me on this -- it would be a very long wait.” For all Kiara loved her older brother, she could never resist a chance to get a couple of digs in at him where the opportunity presented itself. “Well are you observing anything interesting at least, ‘cause it seems to me that joining in the party would be a lot more fun.”
