Why could Simba never seem to leave Kiara to her own devices? Ever since she and Kovu had met, she had struggled to understand her brother’s dislike of him. Sure, Nuka and Vitani were a bit hard to deal with, but Kovu always seemed different form them around her. And even if he didn’t, she was an adult. Why couldn’t he let her just act like one? “Can it really be that much worse than the club on a busy night?” Kiara asked, knowing he’d have an argument not matter what she said. “Thanks. You look pretty good too.”
“I suppose not.” He reasoned. “Still, You know I can’t help but be a bit protective. It’s just in my nature.” He knew she hated it and yet, it was part of who he was. He wasn’t going to apologize for it. “I know you want to go off with your friends tonight, Kiara, but I’d rather you didn’t. You know how I feel about Kovu. And I don’t want you to see him tonight.” He really didn’t want to argue with her but it was bound to happen.
