About the possible cancellation of BTS's Chile tour dates.
A little update. I know most of you probably don't care, but this is the only place where I can talk about these things without being called dramatic or overly emotional.
Our Minister of Sports publicly claimed that they never approved the ticket sales, which is a lie, because on March 28 she herself announced that BTS would be performing at that stadium. She's now saying they're looking into changing the venue.
The problem is: my country doesn't have another stadium that can hold that many people. The closest thing is literally an empty field next to the stadium she's now offering us as if it were some kind of consolation prize.
At the moment we're organizing a protest with the support of other ministers, members of Congress, and mayors, who are just as concerned as we are about the economic impact this could have on the country. But if I'm being realistic, the chances of us actually changing anything are almost nonexistent.
Hybe has already stepped in and announced that an investigation is underway, which somehow makes this situation even worse. It also increases the chances that our dates could be canceled entirely and that our country could end up being passed over for future tours.
With that said, I'm sorry if I'm not very active over the next few days. I honestly don't think I'll be in the right headspace to watch tour videos when our own chance to experience it is hanging by a thread.
I know this probably doesn't matter much to most of you, but I'll do my best to keep you updated, especially because a lot of the news outlets covering this story keep leaving out important details.

After protesting, marching, filing complaints, contacting every news outlet we could think of, and with the incredible support of ARMYs across latam, we're finally moving in the right direction.
The promoter is now reaching an agreement with the minister, and things seem to be close to being resolved, with what looks like a positive outcome.
However, I'd really like to take this opportunity to point out how this tour has been used for political purposes in this part of latam. First it was Mexico, now it's happening to us, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if BTS were used again as a smokescreen to distract from government issues and shift public attention.
Even though BTS have always spoken about social and political topics through their music, that doesn't give anyone the right to use them —or us— for political agendas, especially when those agendas end up hurting ordinary people.
Even if we're close to a happy ending, HYBE is already aware of everything that happened, and they've now had a firsthand experience with how things can unfold in our country. That alone could be enough for Chile to be permanently passed over for future tours by any of their artists, and honestly I don't know if that's something we'd ever recover from.

I have to admit, this one took me a little longer (aside from my week of exams) because I wanted to look for Jimin stories, read them all the way through, and recommend them wholeheartedly. I don't usually read many stories about members other than Yoongi and Taehyung, but I like keeping these lists at around nine fics, and, if possible, including some older ones to, you know, switch things up a bit, and also bring old gems back to life because there are so many truly amazing fics out there, and this list? It was made with exactly that intention. Most of these fics are at least three years old (there's a 2017 gem in here, dude), but honestly, there's a little bit of everything! He didn’t like your quick remarks, your witty humor, the way you talked, the way you walk, the way your boyfriend— his best friend— was always bringing you to the hangouts. The way you talked to him… Jimin just didn’t like you. So he didn’t know why he was about to fuck you in a dark closet while all your friends were looking for you two.
-> Review: Oh, you guys have no idea how long I've been wanting to recommend Nina because she's literally the love of my life, and this fic? It was the very first thing that came to mind when I started putting this list together. First of all, the smut is exquisite. Jimin? Ughh, I wanted to devour him. And even though the story doesn't have as much plot as some of the others on this list, it's still such an enjoyable read, especially if you're looking for something fun and easy to get through. (And it's inspired by blonde Jimin, which is reason enough.)

-> Summary: Welcome to Club La Rouge, where your sexual fantasies come to life. Accepting his offer might cause inconveniences for both of you, but do you really have it in you to say no?
-> Review: When I say I was literally counting down the days until this fic was published, I mean it. This series is genuinely one of my favorites, and Jimin's plot? 100/10. When I found out it was finally being posted, I almost screamed from excitement because seriously, if you haven't read this series yet, you absolutely should. A private sex club with personalized, consensual services and Moulin Rouge aesthetics? The perfect read for a lonely night when you're in the mood to have some fun.

-> Summary: It the city of New Seoul, another homicide isn’t newsworthy but instead just a statistic. But when the son of the mayor is murdered in an alley in a shady part of the city? Then it’s important.
You and your partner, Detective Park Jimin, are given the honour of investigating the crime. Will you find out who killed him? Or will you fail?
-> Review: Okay, so, this one is actually one of my favorites, if not my number one. The story? Incredible. The characters? Endearing. The mystery? Absolutely gripping. And don't even get me started on that damn plot twist because I would never stop talking about it. I think if you've seen my other lists, you already know my tastes are a little... peculiar, and when I stumbled upon this futuristic detective story filled with neon lights, mystery, and murder? I knew it was meant for me. The writing is incredibly descriptive and immersive, the plot is ridiculously engaging, and the smut is so on point. You should absolutely give it a read, especially with a little city pop playing in the background, I enjoyed it so much that way.
JUST DANCE IT OFF by @shadowkoo
-> Summary: You're over the moon when you land the female lead in the end-of-semester show. It feels like your hard work has finally paid off, everything is going great. Well, until you learn who your partner is…
-> Review: To be honest, I'm not usually a huge fan of enemies to lovers... but I genuinely loved it here. I initially started this story because the ballet au caught my attention, but I ended up staying for the relationship between the characters. Usually, unlikeable characters aren't really that, well, unbearable, but this Jimin? I had to physically restrain myself from wanting to punch his beautiful face at the beginning of the fic lol. It's not as long as some of the others on this list, nor is it particularly deep, but it's definitely a fun read that you should give a try if enemies to lovers with a little spice and a whole lot of built-up tension is your thing!
HEARTBREAK INSURANCE by @jimlingss
-> Summary: With affordable and comprehensible solutions, we are committed to meet your needs today! We cover and care for you in your most vulnerable times, offering paid time off, therapy sessions and care packages. Because heartbreak is pain too.
-> Review: Out of all the ones on this list, this was the sweetest one for me. It had no smut —like, zero— but I promise it’s absolutely worth it. Jimin is such a sweetheart, a truly endearing character who has you smiling at your screen the whole time. And the oc? So real. Like, honestly, I would also commit fraud and do everything she did just to get a break from my job lol. It’s a very unique au that’s part of a series (I think all seven members are included), and I promise you won’t regret reading it! It has such a soft, comforting ending. Definitely added to my comfort fic list.
BLOOMING by @yoongiofmine
-> Summary: When staying at your cousin’s home for a couple of days, all you expected was to attend the wedding of an old friend and catch up with family. But then she’s dragging you to her boyfriend’s concert and you just can’t help but fall into the charms of the band’s guitar player.
-> Review: Band aus are some of my absolute favorites, and when I found this one while going through the profiles of the people I follow, I almost screamed from excitement because ughhh, it looked so good. And trust me, it is. It’s short and doesn’t really have much of a plot in the traditional sense; everything happens in a single night, but it’s the night. Having a “little adventure” in an arcade with your cousin’s boyfriend’s bandmate, where the tension is at an all-time high every second, with laughter, subtle touches, and looks that say more than a thousand words, is honestly everything you need for a lazy Saturday afternoon when you don’t know what to do with your life. The ending is open, but it ends well, I promise.

-> Summary: It was a terrible idea—letting your friend bury that box at the crossroads. She claimed it was just for fun, but in the end, you were the one faced with paying the ultimate price. The devil—or in this case, demon—is in the details, so be sure to read between the lines, or you just might lose your soul.
-> Review: A short three-part series that has everything you need in a fic for a great night: amazing writing, an interesting plot, and incredibly satisfying smut. You can find all of that in this fic!! To be honest, I would've loved to learn more about Jimin's world and the concept of hell in this au, but that wasn't really the main focus of the story, and honestly, you don't need it to understand what's going on. You should definitely give it a chance if you're looking for a good spicy Jimin fic with a little bit of plot mixed in!

-> Summary: You and Park Jimin have been rivals for as long as you’ve known one another; ever since he tripped you in the front row of your first dance convention. When you graduate from high school and enter Russet Ballet Academy, you tell yourself you’re leaving all past quarrels behind. The main problem with this though, is that your past seems determined not to leave you alone.
-> Review: I know, I know, two Jimin ballet fics with the enemies-to-lovers trope? Seriously, Massi? Okay, I know it might seem a little repetitive... but honestly, I just love this au with Jimin. Seeing him in a universe where he became a contemporary or ballet dancer is, I don't know, my comfort zone. It's a bit on the longer side, but it's totally worth it. I absolutely loved the tension between the characters and the way everything slowly unfolded between them!
NOVOCAINE by @kinktae
-> Summary: Going home was hard – painful even. But falling back in love with Jimin, the boy you left behind? Downright gut-wrenching.
-> Review: I'd been waiting to read this series for such a long time —like, years— and I finally got the chance to do it, and I don't regret it one bit. The Rewind Series has a concept that I absolutely love, and Jimin's part in particular had me so excited because I ADORE the exes-to-lovers trope. To be honest, it's a little angsty (please read the warnings!), but if you're anything like me and enjoy a good story with angst in the background, then this is definitely your kind of fic, especially if you want to see a young punk Jimin in the '90s.

-> Summary: You're gifted a high-technology android by an old friend who appears to know everything - even about you.
-> Review: When I tell you this fic left me speechless, I’m not joking. Part of it was my own fault because I didn’t read the warnings (don’t make that mistake, please read them lol), so getting to the ending was... woah. I had no words. It’s an android fic (oh yeah), and what really stood out to me was how the author describes Nam’s abilities. Most of the time, stories like this are told from reader’s perspective, so that side of things doesn’t get explored much, but here we get a much better understanding of how Nam functions as an android (like being able to see through walls or sense your heartbeat and body heat—I absolutely loved those details). To be honest, I was completely charmed by the first-half version of Nam before we ventured into... yandere territory (yes, it’s yandere—that was the part I accidentally skipped over lmao). That being said, it’s incredibly well written, the smut is on point, and the ending is perfect for the kind of story that slowly takes shape as it progresses. Perfect if you’re looking for something with halloween vibes.
WHAT'S YOUR MOTIVE? by @n9mgi
-> Summary: In the bustling scene of new york city in the early 2000s, a guarded girl who’s spent her life learning not to trust anyone, crosses paths with a rising underground rapper who’s used to getting everything he wants—until her.
-> Review: This fic is set in the early 2000s, and honestly, isn’t that reason enough to read it? Because it definitely was for me. Nam as an underground rapper just makes so much sense, and in that era... it’s simply perfect. The pacing of the story is incredible, the tension between the two characters is chef’s kiss, and the smut? I’m usually not that into dirty talk... but here it feels UGHHH, absolutely perfect.

-> Summary: The one where Namjoon is trying to show he's down bad for you
-> Review: OMG, GUYS, GUYS, THIS ONE?? I LOVE THIS ONE UGHH 😭 It’s so cute, so perfect, so soft. Popular Nam + plus-size reader? Absolute gold. On top of that, he’s so sweet and caring and ughh, I love him. This is the kind of comfort fic I’d curl up with on a cloudy afternoon when I’m feeling a little down and just want to escape into a character like Nam. You absolutely need to go read it. Trust me, you’re going to love it.

-> Summary: On the side of a sunburnt los angeles road, you with a broken down car meet a man you can't stop thinking about. he's older, composed, impossibly charming, and far too experienced to be looking at you the way he does. you're used to immature love that never knew how to hold you properly. but with him, everything is different.
-> Review: I think you’re starting to see a pattern here... BUT I CAN’T HELP IT. CHI KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO WRITE A NAM FIC WITH SMUT (and she absolutely nails 2000s aus, which just so happens to be my ultimate weakness, so there was no way this wasn’t going to make the list). We’ve got an age gap, we’ve got dom!Joonie, and OBVIOUSLY we’ve got exquisite tension between the characters, because Chi really knows how to write chemistry and build anticipation between two people.

-> Summary: Got guy trouble? Of course your best friend Namjoon is the perfect person to talk to about it. It just ... doesn’t go at all how you expect it to. Maybe that isn’t the worst thing though.
-> Review: If there’s one thing that always gets me, it’s slice-of-life fics. They’re sweet, they’re soft, they feel warm no matter what’s happening —whether it’s something good or something painful— and this one? This one is the perfect example of that. It’s a fic with smut (duh), but it still manages to feel gentle and comforting, and I think a lot of that comes from the fact that it has the best friends-to-lovers trope... and honestly, there’s nothing sweeter than that. It’s a little old (dude, I can’t believe 2021 was five years ago???), but it’s absolutely worth reading <3

-> Summary: Namjoon has tried so hard to bury his attraction for you, especially upon discovering that his youngest brother feels the same way. but you just had to make it difficult by showing up in a dress much too short and tight for your figure as you innocently beg for him to lend his body for practice.
-> Review: Imagining Nam as an architect was not on my bingo card for any year, but it was definitely something I needed to read. I have to admit, one of my favorite parts of this fic is the way Nam ‘struggles’ with his desire to be with oc because, oh! Surprise, his brother is completely smitten with her too... but of course, temptation and desire win out in the end lol. It’s a really good fic, and you should definitely give it a chance. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
RIGHT PERSON, WRONG TIME by @taevescence
-> Summary: Being a woman in the legal world had never been easy—especially not in a country like South Korea. That was why you had done everything in your power to achieve your goals; you sacrificed your personal life, your health, and even the love of your life just to reach the position you held today. -> Review: (Uhm, actually this is my fic (yes, I’m self-promoting, sue me), but since there’s no way I’d write a review of my own work, I’m bringing you my bestie @thunderg opinion on the fic <3) Ok so, this fic is a masterpiece like, how can Namu be that perfect??? I love how he is so caring and understanding with Reader even when she did broke a little his heart, and the fact that she recognized that her action were not right, chef kiss, we love a self aware queen. If you want some cute fic with a bit of angst, THIS IS IT (justice for Nam people, he needs more fics, he is a cutie) When my bestie wrote this i was like a literal teenager again, giggling like a dumbass, so yeah, long live for men who yearn!!!!!!

-> Review: Starting with this one feels absolutely diabolical because UGHH IT’S PERFECT. Honestly, Lily is one of the best writers I know, and this story? It proves it from miles away. An obsessive prince Taehyung willing to do anything to win over oc is everything right in this world, everything we need for a good afternoon of reading where you just want to disappear into a historical setting filled with royalty wearing extravagant outfits and expensive jewelry (you’ll see a lot of that in this list lol). It’s not extremely yandere/obsessive, and the warnings tell you everything you need to know beforehand so you won’t feel uncomfortable while reading. A solid 10/10 ^3^
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE JUST BEEN CHEATED ON? by @1uvtae
-> Summary: what do you do when you have found out that your long-term boyfriend has been cheating on you? well, contacting his (may i mention, very, very hot) best friend tae is definitely an option.
-> Review: This one in particular has a very special place in my heart because I’ve reread it more than four times since I first found it, and I’ll probably keep rereading it no matter how much time passes. Normally I do NOT support cheating, but… let’s be honest, with oc’s boyfriend? Anyone would feel unloved and end up seeking revenge in the arms of the best friend, Taehyung 🧎♀️ but seriously, the tension I felt while reading this is something I genuinely haven’t been able to replicate with any other story. Like, the elevator scene with the scarf??? DUDE, I SCREAMED. I HAD TO CALL MY FRIEND JUST TO SCREAM ABOUT IT BECAUSE ???? THE AUDACITY OF KIM TAEHYUNG??? Anyway, one of my absolute favorites. Go read it if you’re looking for a little angst and a Taehyung who’s more than ready to start beef with his friend.

-> Review: I actually read this one a long time ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. It has everything you could want in a good one-shot, and every time I think about this Taehyung I start giggling and kicking my feet because GOD he’s perfect. If you’re looking for a fluffy story where Taehyung is a professor and needs you to fake a relationship in front of his coworkers, this is the story for you ;)
ALWAYS THE BRIDESMAID by @kookingtae
-> Summary: When you first meet Kim Taehyung, you’re determined to find every reason you can to hate him—or maybe he’s just looking for ways to get on your last nerve. But when a turn of events has the two of you working the wedding of the man you’re hopelessly in love with, you’re too late to realize the real reason to hate Kim Taehyung is because of the latest column he’s secretly writing: “Always the Bridesmaid, Never the Bride”, and it’s all about you.
-> Review: I have to confess that I had never watched 27 Dresses before reading this, so yes, this is one of those rare cases where the fanfic completely won against the movie. Adaptations are one of my favorite AUs of all time, and an adaptation of a 2000s rom-com? You immediately have my full attention. I’ll be honest, this Taehyung did frustrate me a little at times lol, BUT! everything gets fixed in the end and everyone ends up happy, as they should 😌 (And no, it doesn’t have the same ending as the movie, so I definitely recommend reading it from beginning to end because this version is genuinely so worth it.)

-> Review: Guys, this? This is a hidden fucking masterpiece of a fanfic. Yandere fics usually aren’t really my thing because, I don’t know, I just don’t tend to read that kind of stuff, but this one? This is one of the most perfect things my eyes have ever had the privilege of reading. It’s originally a series, one fic for each member, and while every published part is a masterpiece (Yoongi’s part STILL hurts me like it was yesterday), this one in particular is on a completely different level for me. The final part, when oc arrives at Taehyung’s house? God. That entire sequence had me tense through every single word, every paragraph. Don’t go into this expecting romance because the summary and warnings never try to paint it that way. It’s a dark story dealing with dark themes, and it doesn’t romanticize them—it simply presents them in a beautifully written way.

-> Review: I think I made it very clear in my last rec list that I LOVE android fics, and this is one of the reasons why. This was one of the first fics I ever read and it’s honestly so beautiful. I love the way they meet, the way he shows up at her house looking for help, and how his relationship with himself develops so naturally. The way he tries to discover who he is through art and UGHH I LOVE HIM. It also has Yoonjin as the side couple and I ultra mega adore them, they’re the cutest people in the entire world.

-> Review: This story is one of the most intense things I’ve ever read, and I love it for that. Taehyung as a painter during a royal era is already everything right in this world, but adding oc as his muse too? Perfect. Art in its purest form. Honestly, I just love the concept of someone so talented despising their own art because they can’t truly feel what they’re painting, only to finally find their muse and realize their talent can at last fully come to life.

-> Review: Don’t let the simple summary fool you, these two parts were INCREDIBLE. Like, I genuinely loved them so much, especially the second one. I have a weakness for jealousy scenes (normal jealousy, not obsessive), and what happens with Taehyung in part two? I was literally having the best day of my life. (Yes, I was stressed the entire time, but that’s beside the point.)

-> Review: This was one of the first Taehyung series with more than three chapters that I managed to finish in one sitting. The plot, the characters, Taehyung—everything about this series is ridiculously perfect. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic feels really believable and natural (I get you, oc, I would’ve hated him at first too lol), and the smut scenes are PERFECT (but honestly, what else were we expecting from Sibi? She’s basically the expert when it comes to that ). A genuinely amazing series that you’ll definitely want to come back to again and again after finishing it.
