DILL PICKLES ARE THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE KIND OF PICKLES I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU ON THIS.  (My grandmother makes stuff with sweet pickles and I'm like, "Why do you not love yourself?!")

Fun fact: I went to a Mumford and Sons concert a couple years ago that was a walk around all day affair and a few hours away in a different state and I wore flip-flops.  Of course, one of them broke midway through so of course I had to walk around the event for hours and then drive home with one shoe.

1) What are you most passionate about?

Stories. Stories that have substance or emotional impact. Stories that comment on society or satirize it. Stories made by real people in real life. Stories that are written down, or acted out, or drawn across paper.

Stories that have meaning. I like hearing them. And I like attempting to make them.

 2) Are you characteristically deontological or characteristically utilitarian?  (Or, I mean, I guess you could be a strange bird and be a virtue ethicist or something but then you have to support how your perspective provides meaningful deviation from one of the above, so.)  If you write stories, do your characters tend to take your same perspective?  

After looking it up I guess I'll have to say utilitarian. And I guess, thinking about it now, my characters do tend to take that perspective. But now that I realize this is just makes me want to write the opposite :-P

3) If someone paid you well enough, would you be willing to live in an environment of total sensory deprivation for one year?

Never. I want to experience life, not tuck away somewhere dark with my money.

Omg I feel so silly I don't know if this is a reference or not.

A part of me wants to put toes but this sentence is meant to be profound so I'm going to finish it with "heart"

An artist. If I could spend a living creating things and not worry about anything else, I'd do that.

6) Describe your ideal mate.

Someone I can have a good solid friendship with in addition to being involved with. I want to be close to this person. Be able to talk for hours. Being able to really care about each other and enjoy spending time with just in general. But I might be biased because I think I'm describing something I already have... 

7) How do you think others perceive you?

Empathetic, I hope. I try very hard to care about /everyone/ and I like to think I can see prospective from other people's view.

8) Are you more of a Charles or an Erik? And who would you rather date?

Oh man I'm pretty sure I'm more like Charles, and I would rather not date an Erik. So I guess I'd just date myself, hypothetically.

9) ANSWER CAREFULLY because I am judging you. ;)  Define “sociopath.”

Oh boy, pressure. I'd pretty much say, in a way that's too lazy to go about looking it up, that it's a disregard for others, whether through lack of empathy or disregard of law. But I'm sure there are many other facets to it that aren't just that.

10) What is your favorite book, or the book you feel has most influenced you? (Or both.)

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is by far my favorite book I have read (and re-read several times). It's probably the sass and the wacky social commentary that does it for me. 

11) What is your weirdest superstition?

I'm not sure I have any except for 'don't think about bad things too hard or they might happen.' Which is completely bogus but I end up getting that thought anyways.
