The way Nanami and Tomoe's lives are interconnected is so interesting

Tomoe is alive because Nanami fell in love with him in the present - which lead to her going to the past to save his life.

And Nanami is alive because Tomoe fell in love with her in the past - which lead to him caring for Yukiji and keeping her healthy through the pregnancy that would eventually lead to Nanami being born down the ancestral line
