hello! i know i haven't posted for a while, but i was enjoying my much needed summer holidays! this was the first week of the new school year, and i seized the opportunity to borrow some books from the library. i started inheritance of loss today and i am already in love with the writing style and the themes. i've also started my new subjects, so i have been very busy!

hey everyone, sorry for the long hiatus! it's been a v hectic and at times, challenging, semester. i hope u are all going ok, and happy pride month to everyone🌈! i might release a list of some of my fav queer book recs this month if i get time🌱 recently, i have read the princess bride by william goldman, on reckoning by amy remeikis, the life of the book by hellmut lehmann-haput and have started orlando by virgina woolf. as you can see, i have a soft spot for orange books and guitar picks hehe

1.08.2022 hey everyone! we went back to school two weeks ago so i took that as an opportunity to borrow some books include midnight's children by salman rushdie. i am enjoying it so far tho the setting does change around quite a bit. apart from that, i have been feeling rather untethered recently, so i have been making small efforts to do the things that bring me joy even if it takes a bit of effort. how have you all been?

yes i know what you're thinking, the falooda displayed above tasted as good as it looked lmao. anyways, these past weeks have been pretty chill, since it's only the first couple of weeks of term! only 9 weeks until summer holidays and i cannot wait.. at all. i also received my subjects for next year which is great, since i got all the ones i wanted! recently i finished reading 1984 by George Orwell, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and i liked 1984 the best, bc of it's descriptions of a totalitarian society, but i definitely didn't like how Orwell wrote Julia.
since it's technically mental health week, i thought i'd share my give it a day strategy. if something relatively bad happens, i find that it seems much less worse after a day. so, i give myself one day to simply feel and not try to get rid of that feeling. then, the next day, i get back to normal! i hope everyone is feeling ok and pls have a drink of water🌱

hii everyone! i'm sorry i've been a little m.i.a these past couple of weeks, but it has been sort of stressful. we went back into lockdown, and i had a lot of end of term assignments to do, but i have holidays now!! also, i finally got a sun badge in khan academy hehe🌱other than that, i have been trying to work towards not placing all of my self worth on grades. sometimes, it gets so bad, that even if i get one percent less than what i think is good, i will probably have a panic attack, but i'm getting better at that now🌻 OOH btw, b99 ended 2 days ago, and i have been inconsolable. thank you for 8 seasons of comfort and laughter, and i will miss u v much!!

since we are back in lockdown, I've taken advantage of the extra time to finish two amazing books, Nocturna by Maya Motayne and I Like to Watch by Emily Nussbaum. They're from completely opposite genres yet both were amazing! I Like to Watch gave a very insightful argument about how we view and perceive television and also analysed many different shows.
