happy new year!! omg it has been a looooong while since i have posted anything original, but this book has single-handedly fixed that!! it's one of our assigned texts this year and so far i have read it twice over because it is so subtle yet beautiful, i highly recommend it! apart from that, it's been a nice summer of reduced screentime, more time in the water, more crocheting and just more time overall🌱 i hope everyone else is doing okay!💜

My Zener Diode notes for Electronic class. I switched to digital notetaking last year and it was the best decision I made. It was perfect for online classes. I reduced a lot paper and save so much time! Whenever I have exams or quizzes, I don't have to take pictures, export them to pdf then submit. I can just directly export from Goodnotes then submit them!
If you are interested the notebook I'm using, you can purchase them on Etsy. I also have offwhite version! I can make dark mode too if I see a lot of people demanding it :)
i got back home on the 31st yay!!! happy to be home :) but i’ll probably start missing my family again asap. i bought some new clothes while i was in turkey (everything’s from pull and bear; it’s my favorite european store!!) also reread a childhood favorite book of mine: and then there were none. did anyone else go through an agatha christie phase/addiction in middle school ??
also!!! got my ap scores back (ap language + world history) and got 5′s on both??? (for non-us folk, that’s the highest score you can get) i feel over the moon considering i got a 2 last year on ap gov :) excited to save some money in college now
i was on a college visit during august 5+6 so i thought i’d include the prompts for those days as well!
5th august - what is your ultimate summertime song?
oh definitely anything by the band summer salt!! especially their song heart and my car :)
6th august - what is your favorite summertime movie?
la la land
7th august - do you read a lot in the summer?
happy to say that this year: YES! somehow i got back into the groove of reading and i’m trying to do it every day. since june, i’ve read the road less traveled, the girls (by emma cline), (i attempted) a portrait of the artist as a young man, and how the garcia girls lost their accent. currently about to start a couple of novels by ian mcewan! most of this is prep for my ap lit class haha :)

I’ve shifted from using my bullet journal for school stuff to using a pre-made planner and it’s honestly changed my life! I didn’t have the time to make spreads every week so having the dates already set up is really nice.
In other news, it’s the holidays! I hope you’re all feeling very festive as the weather (for us Northern hemisphere folks at least) cools down.
today’s seltzer: aha strawberry cucumber!

I had two exams this week – psychology on Monday and TEFL yesterday, and I hope they both went alright! Taking the exams also meant being on campus for the 2nd and 3rd time ever, which was nice. Maybe next semester, I can actually go there for classes as well…
After my second exam, I walked over to the lake nearby and spent some time reading and looking out at the water to unwind. The buildings of this campus might be slowly falling apart thanks to chronic under-funding, but I love having an actual campus at all (my bachelor's classes all just took place in various buildings around town…) and how central it is in the city!
idk who needs to hear this, but to all lgbtq+ people who aren't out for whatever reason:
you are valid. the legitimacy of your identity has nothing to do with how many people you've told - you are here, you are you and you are enough. even if you're not entirely sure what your identity is or don't want to put a label on it, you're still a part of this community. when (if) you decide to come out is completely up to you, not being out ≠ not being proud of who you are. this month is your celebration, too 🏳️🌈
so so lovely seeing the studyblrs get their a level results and uni placements today!!!! extremely proud of each of you, im sure you did your best and thats more than enough. the path that opens for you will be a place that you will grow in — whether you believe it or not. ❤️
