Nandor: Ohh you mean chariots dragging the corpses of your vanquished foes!!

And in the Iliad after Hector kills Patroclus then Achilles kills Hector, Achilles strings Hector up to the back of his chariot and drags him around Troy a few times!! Nandor is correct! That was actually the first pride parade!

idea: in the beginning of the show there were a lot of moments where Nandor was like “Vampires only” to exclude Guillermo but -hear me out- I don’t think it was solely to be rude, I think it was because he was envious. Envious of Guillermo’s humanity. He acted like he was part of some exclusive group because he wanted to feel as though that were true. Like he’s the one blessed with a gift, not Guillermo, despite desperately thinking it the other way around.

When he picked Guillermo up to make him feel like he was flying and Guillermo said “I’m a vampire!” and Nandor muttered “but you’re not,” it wasn’t to belittle him, it was because he’s envious! No matter how Guillermo plays at being a vampire, he’s still human, something that Nandor will never get to be.

In the wellness center episode, Nandor told Guillermo that “Vampirism is a curse” and he meant it. Nandor gets curt all the times that Guillermo asks to be turned because he is envious of Guillermo’s gift of mortality and, every time he is asked, he’s reminded that Guillermo wants to simply throw away something that Nandor, himself, will never get to have again. Despite his envy, he cares about Guillermo and doesn’t want to have any part in robbing him of that beautiful gift of human-ness.
