Hey Guys, I'll be sharing precious episodes of the podcast over the next few days and iA a new episode will be out next week. Looking forward to reconnecting with all of you and highlighting amazing Muslim women-- Today is all about sharing the stories and work of Muslim women this is the center of everything the Naptime is Sacred podcast is does. My very first podcast was with Hafsa Taher and as nerve racking as doing that first recording was I learned so much from her about how to start a small business. -- Hafsa started her business while also being in a very demanding IT field and now she is doing doing Hafsa Creates full time. This is a lesson for us all that if you work hard, make great products, and have great customer service your business will grow. One of the biggest lessons Hafsa taught me was that since everyone already has their rizq (wealth) determined that it doesn't take away from you or your business to help start ups through advice and kind words. It's not easy living with chronic illness especially an invisible one. Here are 3 things that have helped me and I hope will help you. 1. Eating healthy Food: I've had to cut out gluten which has helped me a lot but also eating more organic fruits, vegetables, bone broth, cooking more with healing seasonings like turmericc garlic, ginger and let's not forget staying hydrated 2. Changing your lifestyle: as women we literally can keep going until we drop. People with chronic illness can not afford to keep up with their old lifestyle. You have to slow down, learn when to say NO and find stress busters that work for you. 3. Education is the best weapon: by learning everything you can about your illness you take some of the power back over you body and learn what you need to change and how to be a part of your medical decisions.
