Being disabled but having to rely on an energy vampire for help is like. You ask and it’s a Thing. It’s an inconvenience. Or it triggers an uncomfortable feeling and their reaction is to shut off their empathy because they only have the energy to cope with their OWN shit, and you asking for help is an ATTACK and THEY are the true victim of your illness. They twist it that way bc they are mal-adapted to the pains of adult life and only know how to deflect and project. Yet they LOVE to say, “welcome to the REAL world” and “when you’re out there in the REAL world--”

And it’s just like, dude, can you please just open this jar for me bc I’m in pain and my muscles are weak and I need to eat something today?
