NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review
I bought this foundation because, at the time, i only had two other foundations: one that was basically a tinted moisturizer (very light coverage) and the other one was a super full coverage foundation. you can hopefully understand why i wanted something that was in between those two.
sheer glow???
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (with the pump!) in the shade Santa Fe well, first of all, i think the name of this foundation is a lil misleading: sheer glow? but the foundation definitely isn’t sheer coverage… so why include the word ‘sheer’ in the name and confuse people?? i mean, maybe it’s not confusing to anyone but me, oh well. anyway, this foundation is more of a medium coverage that can be built up to be pretty full.
what kind of finish? how’s the shade range?
what i really love about this foundation is the finish it gives. rather than being super matte like a lot of foundations that actually provide coverage, this gives a finish that’s somewhere between satin and dewy. more dewy if you don’t set it with powder, more satin if you do.
nars recently came out with a bunch of new shades for this foundation which i think is awesome; brands really need to start paying attention to their shade ranges a lot more than some have been previously. so, you should be able to find a shade that’s pretty close to your match with the new shades added.
buy the damn $6 pump
oh, one more thing: buy the pump. yeah, i know, it’s annoying: the foundation pump is sold separately from the actual foundation. but, seriously, just buy it if you’re going to buy the foundation – it’s so much easier and less messy with the pump and i know it’s annoying to pay an extra ~$6 on top of what you’re already paying for the foundation itself, but come on, at least they aren’t charging, like, 20 extra bucks for it right? haha – get the damn pump.
