About Sakumo’s suicide

It’s entirely possible that Sakumo’s suicide had very little to do with shame or guilt, actually, and everything to do with Kakashi being put in danger as a move against him.

Yes record-breaking early graduation is an achievement and a mark of Kakashi’s talent, but mostly it’s a death sentence in time of war, like c’mon. You can’t tell me this has nothing to do with Sakumo’s disgrace.

so maybe Sakumo realized that as long as he lived, Kakashi would only ever be his son, someone to put in danger and then set to be killed as a mean to make Sakumo suffer. A punishment for his failure.

On the other hand with Sakumo dead, Kakashi’s ordered death would lose its value in the eyes of the higher ups, and his main value would be that of his talent, to be honed as a ressource of war, rather than wasted on a grudge against a dead man.

Who knows.

Look i know people want Mikoto adopted Naruto but considering fugaku i think it's for the best he didn't

I guess this depends on what happens to the clan in this AU. Of course if the coup is still on, Naruto is 5000% fucked.

But if not? I think Mikoto and Fugaku were terrible parents, but they weren't outright abusive, they ensured their kids were housed, clothed, and fed even if emotionally neglected, so mediocre parents could still be better than none, I guess. Also, under the police chief's protection, Naruto might not have been treated so poorly by the villagers. Given his defiant nature, Naruto probably wouldn't have had his spirit broken by that choleric patriarch like Itachi did. He might even have influenced Fugaku to loosen up a bit. Naruto's whole shtick is softening cold hearts and Fugaku wouldn't have been his biggest challenge seeing as he made a raging mass murderer like Nagato all mushy. I don't even think Fugaku would have invested a lot of energy in breaking Naruto. He barely looked after Sasuke, who was a pure-blooded Uchiha with the potential to replace Itachi. What's he gonna do with Naruto that would have a major impact on him? Naruto would be a pet in Fugaku's eyes, a puppy who shits on the tatami sometimes, but is neither enough of a nuisance or an asset for him to bother with. Naruto would basically be 99% Mikoto's problem/pet and the only reason I could see Fugaku interfere a lot is if Naruto were to take a lot of time out of the brothers' lives that they could spend becoming better ninjas/Uchihas.

My thoughts on Temari moving from Suna to be in Konoha with Shikamaru. At first, I thought she would never leave Suna because she’s so loyal to the village and she loves her brother so much.

But like, I love my family and my city and I moved away. In fact, being around my family triggers tf outta me. I love having the space to be myself and then being able to visit my family every once in a while.

Her childhood with Gaara and Kankuro was extremely traumatic, especially losing most of the adults in her life before she even became an adult herself.

So her moving to Konoha makes sense to me. And it doesn’t mean she chose Shikamaru over her family or Konoha over Suna. Maybe she chose her peace over everything.
