Drabble 02

Dunno... yeah--lets go with that *shrugs*

“Just sit still, would you?” Sasuke whispered, his foot kicking out and connecting with his boyfriends shin.

Naruto bounced once, twice, before turning--blue eyes bright, his smile wide and full of all the joy in the world, even as he rubbed his abused leg. “I can’t help it,” he said, his eyes travelling around the otherwise quiet classroom. “It’s finals, last class, last damn hour, Sasuke. Then we’re done--we’re out of here. Summer is right there, just outside that window.”

Naruto pointed to said window, his hand almost colliding with Sasuke's nose as it thrust through the space his head once occupied with the thoughtless type of action that only Naruto could pull off and get away with.

“Just shut up, idiot.” Sasuke shook his head, the hair falling across his eyes doing nothing to hide the smirk that graced his features. “Don’t you remember what your mom said?” Without taking his eyes from his own test, Sasuke tapped Narutos’ nearly empty sheet with the back of his pencil. “Thirty minutes to go. Better hurry up, Naruto. Or you’ll be attending summer school with Lee and his Uncle.”

“Oh, shit--fuck!”

The sound of frantic scribbling echoed off the walls, which isn’t far from the truth because Naruto's handwriting left much to be desired. (Calling it scribbles would be generous) Funnily enough, the only person who didn’t struggle to reach his chicken scratch, apart from his boyfriend, because Sasuke was ridiculously smart in all aspects--was his mother, who’s own writing was, and he would never admit it out loud; worse than his own.

The bell rang soon after, and that was the one time, during the whole school year that Naruto wished he had another ten minutes. He picked up the paper, a curtain of eraser filings falling onto his desk, followed swiftly by his head.

He could smell Kiba before the dog-lover spoke, and without even looking he knew his best friend's teeth would be bared in what he always thought a dog would look like if it learned how to smile. “That bad, huh?”

“Worse,” Naruto mumbled into his desk, huffing away the eraser remains that threatened to become a snack. “And the worst thing of all is that I actually studied!”

Sasuke clearing his throat from somewhere near made Naruto glad his burning cheeks weren’t on display. “Well, tried to study,” Naruto corrected.

Kiba barked out a laugh as he tugged the paper from Naruto's fingers and with a skip in his step, added it to the pile of collected papers and dropped them with not even an ounce of remorse onto the teacher's desk.

“See you at summer school, man!” Kiba called across the room before escaping with the horde of students excited to enjoy their summer holidays. Or in Kibas case, summer school with Hinata, a quiet girl at the back of the room who took every extracurricular activity that would academically boost her for schooling and life in the upcoming years.

It was not unknown to anyone who had ever seen those two interact that Kiba was head over heels for the girl. Naruto shook his head, poor girl. Sighing deeply, he pushed himself back on his chair until he was looking up at the ceiling.

Sasuke's eyes, face, and hair appeared in his line of vision, and Naruto couldn’t help the smile that won over the frustration and anxiety. Sasuke raised an eyebrow, a silent question on his features.

Naruto definitely did not whimper. Damn Sasuke and his… well--everything!

“Come on, idiot. No point moping around. We’ll get our results in a week, until then--seven days, Naruto--”

Naruto licked his suddenly dry lips. Seven days, huh. “Uh--” Naruto blushed, bowing his head as he stood from his chair, grabbing his bag to hide exactly where the blood had begun to flow to.

Sasuke chuckled, deep and husky as he followed a step behind his blond boyfriend as he exited the school building amongst the throws of other students.

They walked side by side in a comfortable silence towards Sasuke's house. Sasuke didn’t even have to ask if Naruto was ready to be bombarded with questions about how his last test went from his mom. And that was something that Naruto loved about Sasuke. He seemed to just know.

“You know,” Sasuke said, stopping right outside the door to his family home. “I have nothing planned these holidays, and with college right around the corner, it wouldn’t hurt to put summer school on my application form.”

Naruto spun, his eyes wide as his brain processed what Sasuke had just offered. “You’re smart enough to get into any school you want, Sasuke. You don’t need to do that.” His eyes searched Sasukes face which remained charastically stoic, apart from the intensity of his stare.

“But I want to,” Sasuke replied, shrugging as if it wasn’t making Naruto fall even more head over heels in love with the raven. Entering the house, the two teenagers toed off their shoes. “Besides,” said Sasuke as he led Naruto into the kitchen where none other than Itachi sat beside his mother, sipping tea with that same sadistic smile that sent shivers racing down Naruto's spine. “Itachi is home these holidays.”

Naruto gulped, waving at the elder brother, not, definitely not hiding behind his boyfriend. “Hi Mikoto, Itachi. Good trip from hell?”

Itachi raised an eyebrow, but the smirk never left his lips. “Always worth it to see my favourite two teenagers.”

Tho I do not watch Boruto I must admit that I did watch the episodes when Sasuke and Boruto travelled to the past because yeah feelings and nostalgy. And I found some intesting things.

First it Is like a rule when you travel back in time that you don't have to, or if you do just the less and necesary, interfere with the people and events in the past just to not change the future or at least your own temporal line. So, Sasuke's first plan was not to interact with small Naruto and just witness from the distance. But that doesn't happen and they bump into them on the street. So both are forced to interact with them, basically. Okay plan changes. But here comes the interesting thing. When Sasuke sees Sakura he avoids her using -for me- the excuse that ,of course, they are close so he doesn't talk with her at all. This could be comprenhensible if take in count that she is the mother of his child. BUT

Sasuke then goes and SPEAKS A LOT and have conversations, and even he screams Naruto's name when Urashiki kidnaps him. So, why didnt you just avoid him as you did with Sakura?

He has a conversation with Naruto about them basically and about Sasuke's past, about how that "friend" saved him and well Love. And also we have to recall that c'mon is Sasuke's voice. Naruto could recognize it miles away. Sasuke was lucky that Naruto didn't. But why to take that risk? Speaking with Naruto would be much more dangerous than speaking to Sakura Because if we think a little, all of the events that triggered most of Naruto's plot ...Was Sasuke's departure. So talking to Naruto, interact with him, giving him encouragment, was very imprudent. He didn't talk to Sakura and avoids her because, again, maybe she could recognize his voice, his looks, anything. But with Naruto literally he couldn't resist and that also triggers to the fact that Jiraiya discovers him, because yes he does ---> that's why when Sasuke activates his sharingan to erase their memories, Jiraiya looks pleased. So yeah Sasuke's things xD
