i dunno it's just hard to keep at it when i keep having a mental image of myself as permanently paycheck to paycheck getting only the time i beg for off each year sitting at an apartment alone as my health gets worse until the day i die. watching older coworkers go in for surgeries etc. sigh... cuz like in the past i was able to quit cuz i could bum around at my parents' house. and that could still happen. but they're exactly as poor and employed as i am but with a dysfunctional family on top of it. my biggest motivation is to not be in that situation but it seems out of my control?

maybe i need to start taking insane risks cuz my strategy of waiting for better opportunities has mostly seen me get older and sicker and more isolated, lol... but i mean i guess nobody gets to choose the shittiness of the life or era into which they were born do they huh
