Nashicon 2016 was such a fun con tbh! I think it’s the best con experience I’ve had in a while. I’m so happy because there was no drama, no tears, nothing. It was just fun and I’ve missed that! I spent it with some of my best friends and it went wonderfully!

Sunday I was in a Gravity Fals panel and afterwards one of my best friends agreed to take some WenDip photos with me, which shout out to him for fulfilling my sinful needs. 

These were so much fun, even though we kept laughing in a lot of them.

At 1pm on April 2nd, 2016, the WeMakeManga group presented at Nashicon! We showed off student work and expressed our goals for the future of both the class and the website. The panel was spearheaded by manga and anime class professor Northrop Davis, author of the acclaimed Manga and Anime Go to Hollywood, and also included student manga creators Austa Joye, Jessica Jordan, Amy Jumper, and Kyle Fuller, all University of South Carolina alumni. In addition to the panel, a table was also hosted where WMM members took commissions and discussed the group with interested con-goers.

Nashicon originally took place in the University’s Russell House, but quickly outgrew the space and was moved into the Columbia Convention Center. Nashicon boasted over 1,000 attendees in 2015 from across the region.

Finally found a good picture of me before I wiped all of my paint off and called it quits on the body paint. This guy was really nice when he asked for a picture with me. So many people asked for so many pictures with me and that was so much fun. It was also insanely awesome to be walking around with someone who got stopped every five minutes for a picture of her because she was an amazing sailorpool. I don't think I've said that enough already. I cannot wait until the next convention! My next idea is to cosplay Lion! ^_^

The other drawstring bag features the main four from when SB4 debuted with writing on the back. And I found this super rare Azai Nagamasa keychain!!!!

A few really amazing cosplays I saw at Nashicon 2016!

Thanks to a commission I did a while ago I was able to recognize Weiss in her pretty alternate outfit. She detailed the coat and hand painted the snowflake symbol herself! Gorgeous!

The mysterious Kimono White Rabbit cosplay is based on the idea of if Alice in Wonderland took place in ancient Japan with tea ceremony instead of tea party. Made by Aeolipile Cosplay. 

And Genos! First time I’ve seen a Genos cosplayer in person! Saw Saitama too with his bag of groceries but I didn’t get a chance to snap a picture of him.

Thank you Miss Lauren Landa for going out of your way to make sure I was able to get your autograph. I really did appreciate it and so did my friend who the other item was for. He was very ecstatic and it made his weekend and mine. I also want to think the director at the con who also helped us!
