do you get the artists permission before posting their work here? you do this with photos on the bug blog so i was just wondering

I do only if they have publicly posted somewhere they don't want their work re-posted/shared. Everyone I've ever asked has said yes. Otherwise I'm gonna have to assume it's art, and they want people to see it with credit/links to their own social media, of course. Which I always do.
